Silo has returned for S3. Episode 1 is out and I watched. Basically forgot everything that happened so spent much of the episode trying to remember what happened much like the main character.

I've never been completely blown away by the show but the mystery and intrigue is enough that I've kept watching. Honestly, was unaware S3 was being released until opening Apple TV and it came up. Would recommend reading a summary for anyone who watched S1 & S2.

Project Hail Mary came out on Prime last night, so that was my July 4th party. it was pretty cool. I like the sci-fi that thinks outside of the Hollywood box. Would recommend it for watching on Prime.

I would second watching Project Hail Mary. Saw it in theaters and it was great. All my friends and family have enjoyed it. Watched it on Prime recently on a rainy evening with family. Gosling is great.

It's based on a book by the same author as The Martian, Andy Weir. He does a lot of research for each book to try and get the science as accurate as possible.

After reading the book and seeing the movie, Gosling is the only person to play that role. He is perfect. Like Harrison Ford in Raiders, can't picture anyone else in that role.

It's from Angel films so it has something of a message but mostly about the idea that we should have a focus on serving others and not glorifying ourselves.

Has anyone watched Spider Noir? It's a spin-off from the Spiderverse movies. Nic Cage played an older Spiderman character in one of those, and he does this show as a live action version. It's on Amazon Prime. You can watch it either in black and white or in color.

The idea is that he's something of a jaded older guy who became Spider man later in life, and then made some mistakes that left him down on the whole idea. He's a down-on-his-luck private eye who is a better person than he knows. Eight episodes. Don't expect a 2nd season. Interesting story overall. My wife and I both thought we weren't going to like the ending about 6 shows in, but it actually wrapped up in a direction I could be happy with.

Watched it. It was ok. 1930's prohibition/depression era was cool. Story line was cool. If another season came out I will probably watch it.

Spiderman not being Peter Parker was kind of weird (Spider Noir is Peter Parker in the comic books and in the Miles Morales animated spiderverse, which is where Nic Cage did the voice of Spider Noir). Apparently, Marvel has some very tight branding rules around "Peter Parker" and since this is a darker, grittier adult character that drinks and smokes, Marvel would not allow the tv series to use the Peter Parker name, hence Ben Reilly.

GWTW sold 1.53 tickets per person

Now compare that to Avengers Endgame. Based on US population, it sold .29 tickets per person
