I'm not sure what the first CD I ever bought with my own money was. I think it was Under The Table And Dreaming.
First tape was NWA Straight Outta Compton, I was a confused young black child (which is weird because I became a white adult, who knew). As a young rebellion that was AMAZING. It spawned a love of all things early hip-hop.
First album - Christopher Cross, Ride Like the Wind still jams, don't @ me
First cassette - ZZ Top Eliminator, the car and bass got me
First CD - Jane's Addiction, Nothing Shocking, had the cassette, but just installed a CD player and transitioned


Eliminator is a badass album. Respect.

I listened to that CD every morning my freshman year in good ol' Collins 3S as I got dressed. I still can't hear the opening notes of Ants Marching without thinking about that room.

Ironically yes. Vegeta for me too. I'll never forget the episode where Frieza mortally wounded him and he poured his heart out to Goku that he couldn't completely help the way that he was. That he had to watch as almost his entire race was destroyed, including both of their fathers. That killing Frieza was the only way to stop it from happening to anyone else, with tears in his eyes. Then, the last full blooded Saiyan in existence died. It gets me every time.
