It's not warranted, and we can't afford it.

Effectively, the supporters of the "who's going to pick my crops" are supporters of exploitive labor. While some migrant workers may make more than minimum wage, many will certainly not as they are paid under the table.

Sure it was a small town and not many people probably visited the wiki page for it but the point was to show that anyone could edit it and if the page is not visited often then wrong information could stay there.

So I must have missed that there is a memo that has frozen all money for grants to everything including universities which means all grant funded research might be coming to a halt soon. Not just DEI stuff but everything. But I can't find any good source that explains it without it getting into the political weeds. Anyone have a good link for an explanation of this.

I've heard reports that on some sensitive topics, like "climate change", the only narrative allowed is the radical Leftist one with no credibility. Any time someone tries to correct that it even balance it out with other perspectives, it is immediately edited to keep the propaganda lies alive. I checked this out myself and found it to be at least partly accurate although I did not try to change it myself and it has been a few years since then. I used to think that it was ok to use it for basic facts such as historical events but now I'm not even sure about that.
Bottom line: I don't trust Wikipedia for anything.
