Netflix movie "Carry On" with Jason Bateman & Taron Egerton is worth while. Action flick

Landman is killing it. Absolutely nailed the casting with Billy Bob Thorton and Ali Lartner and the rest of the crew

1923 is really good. Added James Bond (Timothy Dalton) to the mix. Makes a great bad guy

Another Taylor Sheridan super show

Tried watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith on Prime. Sort of loosely connected to the Brad and Angelina flick, but no direct relationships. Intriguing premise, terrible execution.

After the second episode, the police would have shown up at the two stars door two days later with a warrant and arrested them for kidnapping and murder -- end of show. The plot holes are bigger than a Mack truck. I can suspend disbelief a bit, but don't insult my intelligence if you want me to keep coming back.

Agree, poorly written. I think I made it a little further down the road, but totally unbelievable. And they spent some bucks on locations!

True, but I still thought it was fun and what I expected out of it. Very few shows out there anymore where you don't have to suspend disbelief quite a bit, but especiallly ones like this.

I watched no. 24 on Netflix, about the Norwegian resistance in WWII. Really well done and based on a true story.

Having worked in Amarillo for a while, I really enjoy this. West Texas is a frame of mind! What is a funny, you hate it when your there and miss it when you leave. He nailed it on this show.

Excellent. Wife and I watched this weekend. Well done, really liked the style using the older man to tell the story to a school.

Didn't think I would like it, but like everything else Stallone does you have to reluctantly admit that it is entertaining as hell... My wife likes it and she doesn't like violent shows.

Agree on Tulsa King. It is not high level art but it is entertaining and enjoyable.

I am late to The Bear. Two episodes left for us on Season 2 - had no idea how intense this show was going to be - really liking it.

I have. Excellent script and the perfect avenue for an older Stallone. Dude still looks like he could crush an auto door...

Really jacked on the first two seasons. They changed something in S3. Herky jerky for sure. S3, E1 was almost unwatchable

Stallone does a great job in that role. He moves well for his age, although it looks like he used too much insulin with the Growth Hormone in his workout regiment based on his belly.

Baylen Out Loud. 21 yoa gal has Tourette Syndrome. Lovely girl that spouts some pretty outrageous language at the absolute worst times. She has lots of different tics and OCD too.

As someone with a motion disorder, Tardive Dyskinesia, and Parkinsonism, I really feel for her. Getting stared at doesn't exactly make the world around you feel warm and fuzzy

Not sure how much of this show I'll be able to take, to be honest

Beast Games has been interesting. Started out with 1,000 people to win 5,000,000 bucks. Down to the last few now. You cant make too many friends, cause you might have to stab them in the back if you want to move on.

Not sure if it has been mentioned previously but Fauda on Netflix is a good show that deals with an IDF unit that fights Hamas terrorists in Isreal/Palestine. Pretty interesting given what is going on now and prior to current conflict. The shows first season aired in 2015. Pretty addicting.

"The Hunting Party" - E1 just came out. It's fairly predictable, maybe good if you literally had nothing else to do, not one that I will go out of my way to watch. Melissa Roxburgh is in it, the blonde from 'Manifest'

Maine Cabin Masters - in Season 10 and is still fun to watch. Great build crew and innovate in ways to save old "camps" in Maine.

They also did one in Italy (the country, not Texas!) that was part of a series, about 6 episodes or so I think. Interesting to cut back the layers of an old Italian villa.

On HULU on Magnolia Networks (same as Chip and Joanne Gaines)

A few that I've enjoyed recently:

The Recruit
Silo
Severence
Paradise

The Recruit is fun, but what you expect it to be. Well done, but simple. The others? Some of the best shows on TV in a while, in my opinion. All of them make you think and all leave you wanting more, knowing not all is what it seams to be.

"Doc" with Molly Parker. Really interesting take on a Head of Surgery at a hospital that gets in a wreck and loses the past 8 years of her life. During that time, her son dies, which causes a storm of events, she and her husband divorce, she becomes a terror at her hospital, etc.

Pretty good so far, not sure if can be a successful multiple season show though.

Watching "Sly Lives" on Hulu. Pretty good tale of success and woe. Kinda the successful musician's tale we've heard before. Sly is from Denton.

The Wolf Man.

A little different than most werewolf flicks. Dont spend the money on a ticket, wait until it comes out on HBO or something so you can change the channels if you like.

Just looked it up. It came out about 6 years ago. Watched it religiously, I was really loving it, then they canceled it. Great snippets of SF history, not sure how much was accurate, but there was probably quite a bit of that hanky panky going on. Ran for three seasons

We watch all the Vikings, I actually think Ivar was one of those most intriguing characters written...

I have found that a lot of the foreign stuff is good, better stories than what I see in Hollywood!

The Gorge. Pretty good sci-fi/horror flick. A little predictable and a little long though. 2 hours. A couple of interesting twists and turns though. You'll recognize Miles Teller from 'Whiplash' and Anna Taylor-Joy from the last Mad Max flick

I don't really remember seeing this the first time I read through this, but that's dead on. I just watched episodes 1 and 2 of season 3. (going a bit slow because the wife doesn't really like the show). They closed season 2 so strong and then following it with episode 1 is just wrong on so many levels.
