Chief of War with Jason Mamoa. Jason gets to flash his glutes from his Hawaiian war getup. Pretty cool, pre-colonials in the Hawaiian Islands. On Apple TV
The first season of Chief of War has a total of nine episodes. It premiered with the first two episodes on August 1, 2025, and will continue with one new episode each Friday, concluding on September 19, 2025

"The Last Rifleman", sad, sad story about a 92 and 3/4 yoa fella played by Pierce Brosnan, nearly a one many show. Be sure to watch through the credits.
He and his wife are in a Irish nursing home. She passed away. Normandy reunion is coming up.
All about his trip via all sorts of conveyances to go back to Normandy, along with the folks that he meets.
It's a little slow, just like Pierce's character, but worth a couple of hours of your day.

Watching Fire Country right now. Sort of soap opera-ish, but the fire fighting aspect and the convict to fireman program is pretty cool. Only in a little bit, but worth a watch just for the fire fighting process and techniques,
Never fire fought, so have no idea how accurate some of it is. Sure there is Hollywood as there always is. But a decent watch.

I'll take a watch. I'm a Certified Marine Firefighter, but most of my training has to do with large ships

My son has that too. He works at a Port. First thing they taught them to do, after making sure they can swim, was firefighting. He like it.

Finally finished Andor. That is a dang good show. Had to watch Rogue One again after finishing. I like it better every time I watch it.
My favorite line from Andor, "if you're not a rebel spy, you clearly missed your calling".

If/when they remake the originals I'm out. There is an entire galaxy to make stories out of. Go back in time, go into the future, go to another area of the galaxy. Andor proved you don't have to have Jedi and great writing can exist in the Star Wars universe.

Hey thanks for watching!

Just started Poker Face. First episode was pretty good. Interesting premise - seems tough to maintain momentum but let's hope so.

Derek - enjoying it as well! Loved the references to Captain, Arend, Dr. Nesbone! May have been others that I missed so far up to Ep. 5.
