I nominate "How to Survive on Land & Sea" as first place. Want to check it out

I'm curious about Mutiny....

We should plan a Baylor wine night out. We can argue on which wine bar it should be at, but I think it would be fun.
I'm a huge Vinology fanAStaton said:CTCBear said:

Count me in. Vinology near Rice is a good option. And if it's on a weekend, there is a brewery next door for anyone who wants beer.

to go only it seems. after this mess calms down let's set the wine bar meet up. Maybe a progressive tasting. uber to a few different spots. Snacks and drinks along the way.
Huynh Restaurant on McKinney just East of 59 Downtown. Everything is really good.... Grilled Pork, Shaking Beef, even their Tofu which is stir fried with ground pork and peppers....GoBearsGo said:
Driving in to Houston to make a Costco run and hit a few take outs from favorites. Anyone have any great experiences recently.
It's them or Truth. I have only had Feges at festivals and need to try their whole menu.CTCBear said:

There is a hidden gem in Missouri City called Brandanni's Cocina Italiana. It's got a really good vibe with great service... It's small... about double the size of Da Vinci's in Katy... maybe a little more than double but not much more.... It's just off Hwy 6 and Murphy Rd in the red brick strip center back in behind Capone's Pizza and Bar.
We had an early dinner about 5 and they were not busy, but by the time we left it was full. The food was outstanding and so was the wine.
We started with an off the menu appetizer special of Crab stuffed Tempura Squash Blossoms with a sweet and spicy orange sauce
Natalie had the Gemelli pasta with jumbo lump crab, tear drop tomatoes, roasted corn and finished with a basil cream sauce, and I had the wild caught gulf snapper finished with an orange chili sauce with kumquats served with sauted baby kale and gingered sweet potatoes, ,
We also got a side of Truffle Fries and Brussel Sprouts, then we shared a bread pudding for desert.
It's one of the best meals we have had in Mo City! Give it a chance.

Casa Vaqueros replaced La Escondida as our go to Tex Mex place in Mo City. We love it.br53 said:JusHappy2BeHere said:

I live in Mo City as well. I really like Los Vaqueros for TexMex. Give Texas Biergarten a shot it also has great food.
I really like Gus' World Famous Fried Chicken in Houston
No not yet, but the crawfish and Pho in Sienna by the Exxon is pretty good, the crawfish were medium to small this weekend. I also like to get tacos at Casa Soliz across from Dulles High School. Fantastic tacosJusHappy2BeHere said:Casa Vaqueros replaced La Escondida as our go to Tex Mex place in Mo City. We love it.br53 said:JusHappy2BeHere said:

We went to Texas Beirgarten once and really enjoyed it.... then the plague hit...
Blockbuster Sushi (it's really called Top Sushi but it's in an old Blockbuster that my kids grew up with, so my kids changed the name without the owners knowledge) is excellent.
has anyone tried the new Cajun place next to Specs at Hwy 6 and Riverstone?
Solis is my #1 for Breakfast Tacos followed by Tornado.
