Let me add one more item to this list. If true, it was colossally stupid. There's no way he's getting that job. Why risk alienating your current team, recruits, and fan base?

I'd feel really good if I were one of the parents whose living room he sat in less than a month ago and promised them he had their kid's back for the next 4 years just as they signed their scholarship papers.

Glad we had the first ever early signing day this year because we are fooked in recruiting going forward. Every high coach and parent around ain't trusting Jersey.

Evidently he didn't mind putting his fans, etc at risk. That really disturbs me. That man knows what we just went through and he should have never entertained the idea of going to that interview. If God called him to be here, I'm not sure he is listening. He better have his butt ready to go this year or I say fire him!

Baylor would gain back in incredible amount of loyalty and trust from it's fan base if they announced in the next 24 hours that they fired Matt Rhule and Mack Rhoads - if for no other reason than what they did was incredibly stupid

He is no doubt a smooth talker...I remember how pitch perfect his introductory speech was at the Ferrell Center when he first came here...let's see...what year was that....oh yeah 2017.

I didn't think he would bolt until he was winning but I always thought he would leave for another job.

If he does leave - big if - we should all give thanks we had 22 recruits sign in the early December period.

Dunno. I'd rather see it break from someone else than ESPN. I thought this board didn't believe anything ESPN said, now they are speakers of truth because it fits their agenda? Yeah, it is possible he did interview, but he just came off a 1-11 season and I have a hard time believing an NFL not named the Browns would even consider the thought.

Colt and Smoak are reporting it. Is that enough for you? It's doubtful that the Colts would actually make this hire (unless Rhule is that good of a salesman, and with the recent recruiting class, he just might be), but the real issue is Rhule himself going for an interview after just ONE season here, and a horrible season at that.

And now he's shown every high school coach and recruit in Texas that even if he doesn't get this job, he'll be out there looking for next year so don't sign with him thinking he'll be there for your career.
