If anyone is starving women and children in Gaza it is Hamas. They use food as a weapon stealing the food brought in as aid & then selling it to the people at exorbitant prices. They control much of the distribution and prevent much food from to getting to the people.

The infamous photo of the starving children published by the NYT was a lie: propaganda to help the terrorists. The fascist media are as radically antisemitic as the terrorist barbarians.

The photo was not a lie. It showed a starving child, and there are hundreds like it.

Actually, a number of the photos have proven to be lies, some staged to depict circumstances that are not accurate, and others from other parts of the world, and not Gaza.

This is not true.

The "staged" photo witch hunt is one of the more pathetic distractions in this debate. A nothing burger, much like Israel's belated and wholly inadequate increase to the trickle of aid.

US government review found no evidence of widespread Hamas theft of Gaza aid
July 26, 2025
By Jennifer Handler

An internal US government review found no evidence of widespread theft by Hamas of US-funded humanitarian aid in Gaza, contradicting the State Department's claims that were used to justify backing a controversial private organization that took over aid distribution in the enclave.

The analysis, conducted by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), looked into 156 incidents of waste, fraud, and abuse reported by partner organizations between October 2023 and May 2025.

The review of the incidents, which was first reported by Reuters, "found no affiliations" with sanctioned groups or foreign terrorist organizations, according to a presentation seen by CNN.

Moreover, the review found only a small amount of misdirection of USAID-funded humanitarian aid in Gaza less than one percent was affected by loss, theft, diversion, fraud or waste.

"There was no indication that there was a systemic loss due to Hamas interference or theft or diversion," a source familiar with the report told CNN.

This is pretty well spot on. She goes a bit far in rhetoric for me, but it does a good job of explaining the left wing word game.

Uh-oh, I have encountered upsetting or unhelpful information. Therefore, all caps GENOCIDE. Check and mate.

It's ignorant on a number of levels. Whatever you may think of Hamas or even the Palestinians, no honest observer can deny that their land was stolen. She assumes incorrectly that all of Israel's critics are liberals who believe in utopian concepts like the "brotherhood of man." By positing that "progressives" justify every form of resistance to oppression, no matter how barbaric, she projects her own tribalistic morality onto others. She substitutes amateur psychologizing for factual analysis, which ironically is the same thing leftists do when they talk about things like the "authoritarian personality." Finally, and of course unsurprisingly, she accuses her opponents of antisemitism even though many of them are highly regarded Jewish scholars and activists. It's a shallow, lazy diatribe that says way more about this person's anti-woke grievances than it does about Israel or Gaza.

ETA: Wow...according to her Wiki she is such a wing nut that even Alan Dershowitz called her out for smearing liberal Jews. Y'all sure know how to pick 'em.

I usually label them as fascists but often they do take it to Nazi-like extremes, especially when it comes to Israel and the Jews. Sadly, they might be strongest in some of our universities. Thankfully, Trump is going after them for their violations of civil rights laws.

There is pretty well-documented evidence of Hamas fighters calling themselves "journalists" for reasons such as these - trying to make it appear as if Israel is targeting journalists as opposed to militants involved in the conflict. The question is, was the Al Jazeera reporter one of them?

The goal of the assault on Gaza that began on October 8, the goal or the objective, is perfectly clear. There hasn't been really much in the way of disguising it. The goal is to once and for all solve the Gaza question, and they were prepared to use any means within the limits or constraints imposed by the international community, and in particular the United States.

There were three, as you might call it modus operandi, and they flowed into each other; these aren't hermetically sealed compartments. There was outright genocide, which was actually carried out with greater efficiency than Israel is normally credited for. So to take just two examples. Number one, and just so we can remain clearly focused, I'm now dealing with the outright genocidal aspect of Israel's solution, final solution to the Gaza question. Between October 7th and October 31st, the very first month of the Israeli assault on Gaza, approximately 1900 children were killed, according to Airwars, which is a reputable military assessment organization. So 1900 children between October 7th and October 31st. If you take the very worst month of the situation in Syria (it was in 2016), the worst month approximately 250 children were killed versus 1900. Now if you take the very worst year in the Syrian situation approximately 1900 children were killed -- almost exactly the number of killed in Gaza between October 7th and October 31st.

So often you hear the argument if Israel was carrying out genocide, how come they haven't killed the whole population, dropped the nuke, or whatever. In fact, within the political constraints, their achievement is actually quite impressive.

To take another example, the Israelis killed 300 times more children than have been killed in Ukraine, proportionately, if you take in all the factors -- size of population, duration of conflict, and so forth -- and you juxtapose the two. 300 times more children have been killed in Gaza. And if you take any metric -- number of UN workers killed, number of medics killed, number of journalists killed, proportion of civilians to combatants killed, proportion of children killed, proportion of women and children killed -- if you take any metric, Israel for the 21st century is in a class all its own. In fact for some metrics, like amount of tonnage of bombs dropped, it surpasses places like Dresden. We have to go back to World War II to find the right comparison. So we should not underestimate the extent or the effectiveness, the extent and efficacy, of the genocidal element of Israel's assault on Gaza.

Norman Finkelstein: Before we get into this conversation, I do want to acknowledge that [last week] President Biden announced a significant revision in US policy towards Israel. He stated that the United States would not make available certain weapons as Israel launches a ground assault on Rafah. There's no doubt in my mind that this decision was made primarily because of the student movement that began a few weeks ago. Those young people courageously and consistently went out day after day and put their futures on the line for the people of Gaza. This should weigh very heavily on the conscience of those university presidents contemplating suspending and expelling those students.

Norman Finkelstein: When Trotsky gave advice to his followers in Spain during the Spanish civil war, he said that in a revolutionary period, political consciousness changes very rapidly. What yesterday seemed impossible today seems possible, because the worldview of the masses, so to speak, has changed. So Trotsky would say that you have to constantly be alert and attuned to the public consciousness, and change your slogans accordingly.
