The only scandalous thing about that photo is the dishonest lengths that some have gone to discredit it. The argument fails on several levels:

1. Even if one or a handful of photos was faked, it does nothing to diminish the real crisis in Gaza.

2. Assuming the people weren't being fed at the exact moment they were photographed, there's no disputing that they were at a regularly used aid kitchen. Even the German article admits that food started being served a few minutes after the Bild photo was taken. At worst, all this means is that the Palestinian photographer wanted to snap an image before the aid workers stepped in so he wouldn't have to shoot over their shoulders. There's absolutely nothing wrong or misleading about this.

3. As it turns out, the Time photo and the Bild photo supposedly debunking it don't show the same people and weren't even taken on the same day.

Would I want to avoid having to bring even a single grain into the Gaza Strip altogether? Not even for the civilians? Maybe so. I completely understand the anger. I completely understand the pain in our guts that we all feel as citizens. The truth is until the last hostage returns, we shouldn't even be giving water to the Gaza Strip. For a year and a half now, we've been beating Hamas to a pulp. We're dismantling Gaza and leaving it a pile of rubble with total and unprecedented destruction in the world -- and the world still isn't stopping us -- with the aim of achieving the one and only required outcome. Conquering Gaza, destroying Hamas, and bringing back all the hostages. In one word, victory.

I polled the ranchers drinking coffee in the Sutton County steakhouse this morning, and they said those other guys are full of *****

Those ranchers may not be keeping up with current events. I'll bet they still think Israel is "doing a lot to concentrate on military/strategic targets and help minimize civilian casualties and provide aid, but not doing enough or not doing it well enough."

Always a good time to do a recap of what professional associations of experts have told Hamas Harry that he breathlessly believed without question:
