Big 12 Championship

Texas vs. Kansas State (AT&T Stadium)

The Longhorns have too much talent and firepower in this one. I feel like if they make it this far and are good enough to get here then I think they will capitalize on the opportunity. Big 12 fans aren’t going to like this but this just feels like a year where things fall into place for Texas to win the league. In this matchup in particular I think the Wildcats struggle to stop the pass once again this season plus Texas has owned this matchup recently due to talent. It shows once again in this one.

Final Score: Texas 38, Kansas State 30

Bowl Predictions

Vrbo Fiesta Bowl - Texas 44 vs. USC 48

Explosive offenses with high level quarterback play take center stage in this one as Quinn Ewers and Caleb Williams duel it out (both decide to play in the bowl game). Williams proves why he is the No. 1 overall pick going into the NFL Draft while Ewers shows scouts how much he has improved in the last year and a half. Fun game with some major fireworks.

Goodyear Cotton Bowl - TCU 20 vs. LSU 37

This is a fun matchup but not one that goes as planned for the Frogs as they are facing a really talented Tigers team. LSU is just too big, physical, and athletic for the Forgs up front and it shows in a big way. Rough way for TCU to end another strong season.

Valero Alamo Bowl - Kansas State 28 vs. Oregon 37

The Wildcats show up less than inspired after losing in the Big 12 Championship game while the Bo Nix led Oregon squad show up in a big way offensively. The Wildcats have given up quite a bit of yardage through the air this year and it costs them in this one.

Pop-Tarts Bowl - Baylor 38 vs. North Carolina 35

The question is who is gonna stop who first? North Carolina is going to have zero answer for the Bears rushing attack while Baylor has no chance at completely stopping Drake Maye. Ultimately the Bears control the clock and keep Maye off the field just enough to come away with a thrilling victory to get the 10th win of the season.

Texas Bowl - Oklahoma 24 vs. Texas A&M 30

A fun game here for the Sooners before they make the move to the SEC next year as they take on the Aggies in a crazy environment down in Houston. Conner Weigman and Dillon Gabriel both play well in this one. Ultimately both had solid seasons but below each of the fanbases expectations so this one is purely for bragging rights heading into next year.

Liberty Bowl - Oklahoma State 20 vs. Ole Miss 34

The Cowboys have put together a really strong season but they do not show up very well in this game. OSU benefitted from a great schedule which they took advantage of but this is a tough matchup against high-powered Rebels offense.

Guaranteed Rate Bowl - Texas Tech 30 vs. Purdue 13

The Red Raiders come into this game still with quite a bit of optimism about the future with Joey McGuire at the helm. They play really well against a Purdue team that is just happy to be in a bowl game with first year head coach Ryan Walters. Tyler Shough and this offense play really efficient football and explode as they gain momentum going into next season.

Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl - UCF 17 vs. Air Force 24

Can we cancel this game? It’s going to be really cold in this one once again plus one team is excited to be here and the other is not. John Rhys Plumlee and the offense turn it over twice and really just struggle to gain any momentum and their defense eventually wears down.

SERVPRO First Responder Bowl - Kansas 41 vs. Auburn 28

Another shootout in a bowl game for this conference. Jalon Daniels and Devin Neal put on a show as they combine for over 400 yards of total offense. Auburn moves the ball and scores some too but the star power for the Jayhawks wins the day.

Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl - West Virginia 24 vs. Arizona 34

The Mountaineers decided o fire Neal Brown even after making a bowl which leads to a bit of an uninspired performance as they just don’t really want to be here and are looking ahead to next season. Arizona takes advantage with a decisive victory to get win No. 7 on the year.
