Only have seen E1, gotta admit was well below expectations with J J Abrams associated with it

Finished E3 - agree kind of meh. I do think the forced, contradictory and constant T'RACISM distracts and disrupts from the flow of the story. Every scene is interrupted for the blek woman protagonist to overcome T'RACISM.

I started watching Duster with Josh Holloway. It's fun for the 70s environment but kind of meh ... not helped by the fact that the two cops are of course a blek woman and Indian man facing anachronistic, George Floyd-era racism at ever turn.
Having driven a fire engine red 1971 Duster that I swapped out the 318/3-speed and put a 340/4 4-speed in, and driven it up and down Valley Mills Drive many a night, I still have some interest in it. Just for the memories!

Plymouth Duster. Cool. I had a 72 Monte Carlo, 350, 4 barrel carb and a 12 bolt rear end. That was a car...

the early Monte Carlos are so under appreciated. Great cars!

Agree. He is fantastic in everything. He was great in Peaky Blinders, Revenant, Dunkirk, all the way back to Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (great spy movie).

Just finishing it up. Loads of fun.

And there is a A3 coming up. Anna Kendrick will reprise her role from A1

Watched it last night. Agreed fun movie. At the end really did not think the catalyst landed and needed more exposition into the antagonist. Seemed like they wanted more time for the brothers to banter and sort of forgot about the plot.

No kidding. Just idiotic fun. If you are looking for drama, this is not the show. Just laugh out loud with a lot visual gimmicks

After being born in El Paso, Tudyk grew up in Plano, where he attended Plano Sr. High. In 1990, he went on to study drama at Lon Morris Jr. College.

There is another JW out there. You might call it JW 4 1/2. Called Ballerina. Kneau is in it for about two minutes or so, but its more about a girl that goes through the same training and goes after her dad's killer

I am not sure why, but Duster after five episodes continue to not really do it for me ... part of it is that ever scene is interrupted with "holy smokes, a black woman FBI agent, how is that even possible?" Literally every scene she is in has to be interrupted with an exposition of how improbable it is that a blek chick could be in the FBI and how hard she has it

Of course Episode 5 we hade the obligatory lesbian plot line - apparently in the early 70s it was common for hot blek women to be out to the father and publicly and rape a bride before her wedding. Having to inject 2020 wokeness into every movie gets exhausting and distracting.

Watching the Duster S1 E1.

That is my Duster! Red, 340 (although mine was 318 that I swapped out a 340) with an 8 track under the dash. Minus the cool hood scoops and black trim. Did pinstripe in black, though, and put a 340 decal on the back sides. Traction bars in the back, too.

Ofenhauser aluminum manifold, big Holley 780 double pumper, Hooker headers, Crane roller cam (one of the only one as Harvey Crane was a friend of the speed shop guy in Waco and he got one for me, it was never produced in mass)

Looking forward to your thoughts ... I am self-aware enough to realize the constant wokeness of modern entertainment likely has made me hypersensitive too it. I just don't get the constant need for the woke anachronisms in so many shows. And they in every single scene - even action scenes - the plot must stop to acknowledge how amazing it is that she is a blek women in the FBI.

Not going to disagree that it was pretty DEI, although it's somewhat based on a true story. Only did the first two episodes so far.

It really slowed down from about 3 onwards. Please don't watch it live as you will want to FF through some of the 5-7 minute one-on-one scenes
