Yea kind of. Tom Morello is an outstanding guitarist, but Zach DeLaRochas voice is not good. Subject matter of their songs is highly political.

They fit what they were doing. They wanted angry, dissonant, visceral... just like their subject matter. If you're listening to get mad and uncomfortable then you'll appreciate it. If you're listening to fill three minutes and thirty seconds of paper work time, it's going to be annoying.

Agree on Rage Against the Machine. I guess I'm just not that angry anymore.

The band for me that is nails on a chalkboard?

RUSH. That nasally, high-pitched voice just makes me want him to drive his car into a pole.

They occasionally have a couple nice guitar riffs, and a decent base line. But then, the singing starts. If they had an instrumental album, I might be in. But he always wants to sing on their songs. Top three worst rock singers ever.

You've got to see Rush in concert to see one of Neil Peart's 10-15 minute drum solos. That alone is worth the price of admission.

I don't hate Tom Sawyer. Limelight? Meh. Either way, the fact that those are the first two songs brought up when talking about Rush tells the whole story for me. If Rush had never existed, music would have been just fine without them.

I went to this local chinese place for lunch and it was good but nobody spoke English enough to make ordering easy. The process devolved to me pointing at the name on the menu and raising my voice because louder makes it more understandable amirite?

Somehow they knew what I wanted. The menu is in English. Did they memorize the position on the menu? No numbers.

IDK what happened but it was delicious.

You've got to see Rush in concert to see one of Neil Peart's 10-15 minute drum solos. That alone is worth the price of admission.

Neil Peart does things on the drum kit with ease that 99% of rock drummers can only fantasize about
