The infamous photo of the starving children published by the NYT was a lie: propaganda to help the terrorists. The fascist media are as radically antisemitic as the terrorist barbarians.

The photo was not a lie. It showed a starving child, and there are hundreds like it.

Actually, a number of the photos have proven to be lies, some staged to depict circumstances that are not accurate, and others from other parts of the world, and not Gaza.

You still cool with Russia razing city after city in Ukraine and sending missiles at residential buildings on a daily basis?

The cases could hardly be more different. Like Israel, Russia issues evacuation orders before attacking a town. But unlike Gazans, the people of Ukraine aren't confined in an open air prison with nowhere to go. They can actually move freely to safety. And unlike the Israelis, the Russians don't bomb them while they're relocating.

There has been indiscriminate, or more often intentional, destruction of residential areas by the Zelensky government. One of the reasons Russia invaded was to protect the Russian population from such attacks. The last thing they want to do is kill the people of their newly acquired territory.

As for western Ukraine, the recent wave of attacks that Trump complained about is illustrative. Russia sent over 500 missiles and drones into cities across the country, killing a grand total of 1 (one) civilian. On the same day, Israelis gunned down dozens of unarmed Palestinians seeking food at aid distribution centers in Gaza. For all that our Ukrainian proxies have suffered, they are far better off than the victims of Israel's genocide.

Russia has killed thousands of innocent civilians, including women and children.

So demolishing historic cities is ok when most (not all) of its citizens are forced to leave?

"Demolish" is an interesting choice of words. Russians consider Ukrainian history very much a part of their own. I don't see them using controlled demolitions to destroy thousands of buildings, including hospitals, churches, and schools, erasing every trace of indigenous culture, and posting selfies and videos online to celebrate it. Israel is doing all of these things.

The destruction you see in Ukraine is a result of combat. Defenses are set up in apartment buildings, factories, or any other place that provides an advantage. Those positions are attacked, and buildings are damaged or destroyed. It's just old-fashioned urban warfare. Not anything like the systematic destruction of Gaza.

Hamas uses far more "residential shields" than Ukraine does.

And Russia launching thousands of missiles into Kyiv and other civilian areas has no relation to urban combat.

There are plenty of military and dual-use targets in those areas.

Are Hamas military tunnels "military and dual use targets?"

Yes, and strange to say they remain largely intact despite the civilian carnage. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

No. It's part and parcel of Israel holding back on killing civilians. There are over 2M people in Gaza. If Israel was down with intentional or byproduct genocide, way more than 50k would be dead right now and even more of the infrastructure would be gone.

There are probably two to four times that many dead, depending on whose estimates you use. In addition to the infrastructure damage I cited above, water and sanitation are around 5% of pre-war capacity, over 90% of roads are damaged or destroyed, and electricity is minimal to non-existent.

Hamas must really like holding those hostages.

It's a good thing Israel is showing so much restraint.

Again, Netanyahu has admitted that releasing the hostages will not end the war. He walked away from a deal that would have freed them, much to the outrage of at least some of their families. The hostages have only ever been a pretext for ethnic cleansing.

The deal did not remove Hamas from power in Gaza.

That wasn't the question. If you want to starve women and children until the hostages are released, that's one thing. If you want to starve them until Hamas is removed from power, that's another.

You brought up Netanyahu not accepting a deal. You just left out why.

Well, then let me spell it out. It's because getting the hostages released is the lowest of all his priorities.

Now you are making things up. You want him to negotiate with terrorists to let them stay and try again.

I don't want anything.

This answer is not serious.

Leaked Cabinet transcript reveals Israel chose to starve Gaza as a strategy of war

Netanyahu chose to blow up the ceasefire and starve Gaza's population in order to force a surrender from Hamas, while top military and security officials favored moving to the second phase of a ceasefire, leaked cabinet meeting minutes reveal.

By Qassam Muaddi
August 7, 2025

Israel decided to starve the people of Gaza as a strategy of war and in order to sabotage the ceasefire deal, according to Israeli cabinet meeting minutes leaked on Wednesday to Israel's Channel 13.

The document purports to show that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused multiple proposals that would have secured the release of the remaining Israeli captives during the ceasefire between January and March 2025. Netanyahu decided to break the ceasefire, against the advice of top Israeli military and security officials, and to cut off all aid to Gaza to "force Hamas to surrender," the leak shows.

The Israeli cabinet's meeting, dated March 1, was to discuss the fate of the ceasefire with Hamas as the first phase of the agreement was set to expire. The prospective second phase of the ceasefire was supposed to see the beginning of talks on the permanent end of the war. The minutes released by Channel 13 show that army and intelligence officials argued for concluding the ceasefire deal, while cabinet ministers opposed it.

No reports of Hamas stealing aid in Gaza: EU Commission
Melike Pala
07.07.2025

The European Commission on Monday said it has no evidence that Hamas is stealing humanitarian aid in Gaza, and described the humanitarian situation in the enclave as "catastrophic."

Speaking at the midday briefing, Commission spokesperson Eva Hrncirova responded to a question regarding allegations that the Palestinian group is diverting aid intended for civilians."We don't have any reports of Hamas stealing the aid," she said, stressing the EU's commitment to independent and neutral humanitarian principles.

"Obviously, we don't hide that the situation in Gaza is catastrophic and very, very complex," Hrncirova added. "Nevertheless, we have a system that is in place. We have an infrastructure how to deliver aid in Gaza, and this is a system that should immediately be used to help people in Gaza who are starving."

US government review found no evidence of widespread Hamas theft of Gaza aid
July 26, 2025
By Jennifer Handler

An internal US government review found no evidence of widespread theft by Hamas of US-funded humanitarian aid in Gaza, contradicting the State Department's claims that were used to justify backing a controversial private organization that took over aid distribution in the enclave.

The analysis, conducted by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), looked into 156 incidents of waste, fraud, and abuse reported by partner organizations between October 2023 and May 2025.

The review of the incidents, which was first reported by Reuters, "found no affiliations" with sanctioned groups or foreign terrorist organizations, according to a presentation seen by CNN.

Moreover, the review found only a small amount of misdirection of USAID-funded humanitarian aid in Gaza less than one percent was affected by loss, theft, diversion, fraud or waste.

"There was no indication that there was a systemic loss due to Hamas interference or theft or diversion," a source familiar with the report told CNN.

Israel is blocking aid, there is understandably major disruption to normal food procurement, and Israel has killed hundreds trying to get food, so many are afraid to go to the Israeli sites.

It seems the responsibility falls upon Israel to fix the situation. Most Gazans are not on Hamas' side, and it's one thing for them to be kicked out of their homes, and then their homes bombed, but now, to be starving to death, is a step too far for Israel.

They voted Hamas into power. As we have heard it said here in the US over the last few cycles, elections have consequences.

Technically untrue.

The last real election was in 2006, and Hamas won a plurality, not a majority of the votes.

I don't agree with all you say here, but I agree with your central point: Being critical of Israel and its policies isn't antisemitic. I don't believe modern Israel is the fulfillment of biblical prophecy, but even if you do, that doesn't mean support of Israel must always be uncritical. The biblical prophets had a critical thing or two to say about Israel.

Sadly, by its atrocious policies in Gaza, it has destroyed nearly all the international sympathy it had following 10/7.

The photo was not a lie. It showed a starving child, and there are hundreds like it.

You guys forget that all you have to do with Sam the Jew hater, is reply with "debunked"and you will have won the argument.

In reality, Sam loves Hamas because they want to kill all the Jews. So Sam will continue to defend & support the terrorists no matter what evidence it truth you present to him. He only cares about killing the Jews.

I agree with you on most of your takes but calling Sam a "jew hater" just bc he doesnt support Israel is pretty ridiculous. Modern Israel is the Synagogue of Satan (Rev 2:9 and3:9) and are not any better than muslims. Evangelicals need to realize that these people who call themselves jews are not some holy people and their messiah is the antichrist. They need Jesus just as much as the muslims do.

Biblical scholars almost unanimously reject your premise that Israel is the "Synagogue of Satan" referred to in scripture. While antisemites have long used these verses to justify their hatred of Israel and/or the Jewish people, the vague references to Jews who claim to be Jews but are not could mean any number of different things, but there literally is zero scriptural support for your position.

While I agree with you that Jews are just like any other human that reject Christ - and will suffer the same consequences - numerous verses in the NT refer to them as a special or set aside (see Rom. 9-11), and predict a day when they will turn to Christ to be saved. in short, specific mention is often times made of them in NT scripture, and if we believe Paul and John, they will one day turn to Christ as a people.

Now, I do not disagree that this fact makes them immune from criticism. I simply know that Hamas and those supporting Hamas regularly engage in deception and lies. So the question is, do we trust an evil organization, designed to smear Israel over our own govt.?

Hard to know what exactly is happening in Gaza, with so many interested parties and conflicting reports, but here is what the Israel and the US claim are taking place in Gaza with respect to aid:

  • Israel continues to implement 10-hour daily pauses in fighting (10 a.m.8 p.m.) in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Al-Mawasi, alongside secure corridors for aid convoys operating from 6 a.m.11 p.m. These measures significantly improve the logistics of aid delivery and reflect Israel's commitment to humanitarian coordination.
  • Since July 27, Israel has facilitated the inspection and entry of nearly 800 aid trucks via the Kerem Shalom crossing. These deliveries, enabled by cooperation with Egypt and humanitarian partners, carry essential food, flour, and supplies in response to Gaza's dire needs.
  • U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has said that the U.S.-Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is scaling up operations by expanding aid distribution sites (from 3 to 16) and enabling 24-hour service.
  • Israel's cabinet has approved a new mechanism that allows for the controlled entry of goods via private merchants, under the supervision of COGAT. This approach diversifies and increases the flow of essential itemssuch as food, baby supplies, and hygieneto the civilian population.
  • In coordination with allies, Israel has helped to facilitate the airdrops of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. On August 8, 2025, six countriesincluding the UAE, Jordan, Germany, Belgium, France, and the Netherlandsairdropped 72 tons of food aid into Gaza. In the days prior, coordinated airdrops from similar nations, including Egypt, totaled 136 food packages across northern and southern Gaza.
  • The UAE has begun constructing a nearly 7 km desalination water pipeline from Egypt to Gaza's Al-Mawasi region, which is expected to supply water to approximately 600,000 residents. Equipment has already been moved through Kerem Shalom, and construction is underway.
If true, I am not sure that this sounds like a country committed to genocide. What we also know is that Hamas, and its numerous sympathizers, have regularly been caught lying about Israeli actions. The goal is, and always has been, to smear Israel. We know that.

So the question is, what's the truth? It's hard to know.

To Sam, with the hope you understand Melanie did this for you...

This is pretty well spot on. She goes a bit far in rhetoric for me, but it does a good job of explaining the left wing word game.

Uh-oh, I have encountered upsetting or unhelpful information. Therefore, all caps GENOCIDE. Check and mate.

that notorious Hamas propaganda machine, Medecins sans Frontiers (Doctors without Borders) has joined the multitude of organisations labelling Israels atrocities in Gaza as a genocide:

https://www.msf.org/not-aid-orchestrated-killing

They haven't met a conflict they haven't called a genocide. They've been a political advocacy group for decades now.

Which ones other than Rwanda and Gaza?

Amazing isn't it? One actual and obvious genocide, and one historical political target of MSF. Couldn't say it about Sudan or al-Bashir, Myanmar, Srebrenica, DRC, etc. But Gaza, sure…

EDIT: Just realized my initial comment didn't have my extra periods indicating snark. But appreciate you making my point nevertheless.

Which point is that? They use the term way too much, or not nearly enough? Seems you need to make up your mind.

Maybe we're just dealing with two actual and obvious genocides.
