I cannot and will not vote for Ken Paxton. EVER!

The people get the government they deserve.

That's a foolish position. No American deserves what the commies want to do to America.

Not foolish at all. You Trump/ Paxton cheerleaders had better rally the troops. I am 63 years old and will never again place a vote for a knowingly $h!tty and immoral candidate. I thought you being man of the Lord that you might understand. You do you.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

Do you also do this "take my ball home" decision making when faced with other choices?

Did you pick your physicians this way?

One of these candidates will be your vote in the Senate for 6 years regardless of your opposition to them.

If you do not want to participate, that is your call. But there is nothing virtuous about it.

It's very foolish. It's like an ostrich sticking its head in the sand. Pretending to make a moral choice against one man results in an even more immoral choice for another. It's attempt to avoid responsibility that fails.

Everyone is flawed, we are all sinners. None of us is absolved from the responsibility of making a choice. Sometimes we must hold our noses, figuratively, and vote for the lesser of evils. I've done that in almost every election of my life.

The ostrich with its head in the sand is the Republican loyalist who's blind to the moral flaws of his own party. Keep voting for evil, and sooner or later there's going to be a backlash. When and if the socialists take over, it will be entirely on you and your kind.

Says the guy supporting candidates who want the mass murder of babies, the mutilation of children, open borders, endless support of violent criminals, the abolition of ICE (along with police & prisons), socialized medicine, destroying the economy, destroying our liberties, and many other evils.

Supporting freaks like Talarico and the rest of the Dem candidates destroys any claims to moral superiority.

I don't support any of those candidates. I also don't support racism, genocide, crony capitalism, fraud, lawlessness, sedition, or the many other evils that the GOP now represents. You can turn a blind eye if it makes you feel better, but it doesn't stop people from seeing. Those poll numbers in the deep red state of Texas are the proof.

Since it's the DEMOCRATS who directly allied themselves with self-defined Socialists, the people who would be responsible for voting in Socialism would be anyone who voted for or helped the Democrats.

That is all.

Meanwhile, the Trump admin is buying direct stakes in some major corporations, handing out billions to others like candy in the form of tarriff refunds, but "socialism".

People are tired of exclusively supply-side capitalism and what it's doing to the (shrinking) middle class. I am a capitalist, but the Republican crusade against any and all regulations or rule enforcement in the least 15ish years is leading us down a path of ruin and it needs to be corrected. People are waking up to the fact that basic consumer/labor rights and protections come from the left, not the right (because they are actively hostile to those concepts). You even hear people like JD Vance correctly identify some of the problems, while every policy action they take just makes it worse.

Literally nobody is advocating for the Soviet style communism you build up as a strawman, they're just tired of the naked corporatism and monopolization.

The GOP does not represent those things. Well, maybe cronyism but that describes almost all politicians since thde beginning of time. It's no excuse to allow those who do support mass murder, genocidal terrorists, child abuse, and all the other evils described above.

The poll numbers prove nothing. As happens every election, Leftist polls (propaganda machine, commie academia, etc) provide polls to con people into thinking the fascists will win then the results in November reflect a stronger showing for the GOP. Sometimes it's quite dramatic. 2026 looks to be one of those years since the Leftist TDS is so rampant and extreme and the fascists have so many terrible candidates and a blatantly evil and un-American agenda.

Talafreako is pure evil.

Anyone who cannot see this is blind.

A man who denies scriptures is lost. A man who twists scripture and teaches lies about who God is and what God says... it's a purely evil man. James Talarico is the epitome of that false teacher. He has read the Bible and yet he lies about the scriptures and lies about God.

If you refuse to fight against such an evil man, then you will be judged by God. Paxton isn't a great guy, but refusing to stand in opposition to pure evil is not defensible. If you have the opportunity to keep evil out of a position of power, but you refuse to do so... there is just no justification for that.

Talarico is leading people straight to hell by preaching a false gospel and advocating a false god, while claiming to be a follower of Jesus.

There is nothing more evil than that. Nothing comes close to that level of evil.

If you promote that level of evil or refuse to oppose it... you are bringing God's wrath upon yourself.

He's probably about as evil as most of the politicians you vote for. It's just a type of evil you don't happen to like as much.

Falling short of Soviet style communism isn't a flex, and even if your critique of Trump's interventionism holds weight, that doesn't excuse the alternative. Modern regulatory expansion doesn't need to seize the means of production outright when it can achieve the same central control through an expansive administrative bureaucracy.

Enterprise level corporations possess the legal teams, capital, and compliance departments needed to absorb massive regulatory overhead. Smaller competitors and startups do not. Megacorps frequently tolerate...and even lobby for complex regulation because it functions as a legal moat, forcing out smaller players who can't handle the costs and locking in their own market share.

What gets marketed as "basic consumer and labor protections" manifests in practice as extreme compliance burdens that choke out new market entrants and consolidate power among incumbents. Look at the housing crisis dude: it isn't caused by an under regulated free market, but by excessive local regulations, restrictive zoning laws, endless environmental review delays, and strict licensing rules that make building affordable housing virtually impossible.
