Still hoping this pays off the way we were promised.
Me, too.

I think armed conflict is less likely now than 2 years ago. Postpone the military exercises; they are just trade bait as far as i'm concerned.

Meet with the only fat person in N. Korea. So what?

Better to talk than to shoot.

As long as it leads somewhere. What are we getting for foregoing the military exercises?
Fewer taxpayer dollars spent.

Hey, uf saving money us your thing I got a list. But what did N.Korea give up in return, since that's the topic.
Maybe an easing of tensions helps the next stage. Nothing like talking to someone saying we're ready to de-escalate, then do war exercises at the edge of their sea and land borders targeted at the way we beat you in a battle.

Sure, we could become less prepared as N. Korea becomes more prepared. And chat along the way.
We've been preparing for war with North Korea for over 60 years. I'm sure we could figure it out.

And look at the libertarian hawk. Strange attitude from the GTFO guy.

Ha! His libertarian mask slipped off a long time ago...his giant statist nose won't let it stay on.

Exactly. And now that the exercises are exposed as worthless can we quit touting them as a bargaining chip?

Nobody, at least not I, is saying the exercises are worthless, just not necessary this month. I have no idea how big a chip this is, but it is worth something.

As a bargaining chip with no apparent value. Remember, this is about President Trump's claims. Still hoping we get something, and not willing to praise him if all we get is nothing.

It's called on the path to peace. Do you have any clue how these two countries felt about each other a little over a year ago? Obama said this was the worst situation facing the new administration and now it's one where you don't hear a peep from the press about the dangers of N.Korea.

Also, nuclear experts said it could take 2-3 years to completely denuclearize. Patience.
