I asked them to build those features into the Hurd Howdy Hut. They carefully considered my proposal, but ultimately decided against it. At least I think they considered it; it was hard to tell after the police officers jumped me.

Those are for safety.

They are there to distract the gars -- they are effective because gars' eyesight is poor when out of the water.

Also, I am glad to see they are constructing the gar walls.
