Oh? It's always projection with Trump.
ahem....were any of them even investigated, much less prosecuted?
Sec. Kerry was. The investigation did not produce enough evidence to charge him with a violation of the Logan Act. Do you have evidence he did?
Are you talking about him violating the Logan act by privately negotiating and providing aid/advice to the Iranians in 2018 or the Vietnamese during the Vietnam war? Can you clarify which time?
Dissent is not treason. Really.
Really? You feeling ok? You have been quite vocal on the Jan 6th and anyone in general that feels that the 2020 election was a little out of the ordinary.
I guess it depends on who it is with you.
Doing fine.
Am I vocal about calling into question a legit election? Sure.
And I don't concern myself with people who think some things were a little out of the ordinary except, usually, to agree in regard to specific instances that also, usually, had no effect on the outcome.
So, do you think all the veterans who returned from Vietnam and protested the war were violating the Logan Act?
oh stop it with the straw man.
The Logan Act isn't about dissent. It's about private negotiations with foreign powers involved in disputes with the USG. And what Kerry did; he is a member of a party not holding the White House and he engaged in policy discussions with a foreign power involved in treaty negotiations with the USG. Literally, press reports indicated that Kerry advised foreign powers to ignore Trump and wait for Dems to regain control of the WH. And lo & behold, now that the Dems have returned to power, Kerry is a high level foreign policy official in the WH.
Kerry's entreaty to the Iranians was a classic, textbook scenario the LA attempted to outlaw. A member of opposing party, a former presidential nominee with official foreign policy porfolio, engaging in partisan diplomacy during a policy interregnum. No question he shoulda been investigated. It's like looking at a kid with blueberries all over his face holding a half eaten pie, with neighbors positing videos of the violation all over social media, and deciding "oh well.....no harm, no foul."
And while we're at it: apply the same kind of lenient, "boys will be boys / politics is politics" prosecutorial discretion to J6 that we applied to Kerry vs the Logan act. We don't even have a J6 commission.
Just another example in the dual system of justice.
