Thank you folks for more documentation that Garcia was in fact a member of MS-13. We have provided you Sam with the sources like judges decisions from two courts, our own justice department, ICE and others. The only ones claiming to my knowledge that Garcia is not an MS-13 member is his wife and family. And of course they would deny it.

Congrats to the posters who said we have millions to remove from our country. With this as an example in just one case, can you imagine how many years or decades it would take to rid ourselves of the illegals who broke into the U.S. and whose asylum claims were bogus. The task would be made impossible by these activist judges. Unlike Sam, who evidently thinks that these judges become even-handed geniuses when they put on a black robe, I believe some of them definitely bring a political agenda that can be shown by their associations and organizations they belonged to before they became judges. Some of them could not answer basic questions about the Constitution during their confirmation hearings in the Senate.

No we don't have the time or the money as a country to drag their removal over years. We spent around 140 Billion per year taking care of millions of illegals who basically broke into our country. We don't have the same country we all grew up in if they are allowed to stay. Therefore they should all be escorted out of the country and told to come in through the legal process as others that respect us have to do. We will gladly accept those deserving folks as fellow citizens.

Then it shouldn't be too hard to prove in this case.

Although you may have trouble with the confidential informant who identified Abrego Garcia as a high-ranking MS-13 member in NYC. It turns out Abrego Garcia has never lived in NYC.
Where did the NYC come into play?

This is what the report says:

Officers then interviewed Kilmar Armando ABREGO-GARCIA. During the interview officers Thursday, March 28, 2019: Exh . B4 observed he was wearing a Chicago Bulls hat and a hoodie with rolls of money covering the eyes, ears and mouth of the presidents on the separate denominations. Officers know such clothing to be indicative of the Hispanic gang culture. The meaning of the clothing is to represent "ver, oir y callar" or "see no evil, hear- no evil and say no evil". Wearing the Chicago Bulls hat represents thay they are a member in good standing with the MS-13. Offic.ers contacted a past proven and reliable source of infonnation, who advised Kilmar Armando ABREGO-GARCIA is an active member of MS-13 with the Westerns clique. The confidential source further advised that he is the rank of "Chequeo" with the moniker of "Chele".
The Westerns clique operates in Long Island, according to the DOJ.

Amazing how anyone can attempt to make a 'victim' out of this gang banger.

Did he live in Minneapolis or what ?
Amazing how anyone can fail to see that due process protects us all.

He is not a citizen..

He is not entitled to the same protections as American citizens

He is an illegal immigrate and citizen of El Salvador

So it's not a big deal if he gets sent back to his home country

It's a huge deal. Not all of the same protections apply to non-citizens, but many important ones do. And it's not just his home country, it's a prison known for inhumane conditions which likely make it a violation of US law to send him there even if he is guilty.

Perhaps more important, Trump's argument implies that he can do this to anyone, including citizens. He's already stated his desire to do so, most recently in a conversation with Bukele in which Trump suggested building many more prisons of this type. Of course he claims his priority is to deport "the worst of the worst." Evidently that includes college students who criticize American foreign policy, so that should give you an idea where this is leading.

Worst of all, Trump's defiance of the Supreme Court means that even when a person is deported in error (as the government admits Abrego Garcia was), no one can do anything about it. If Trump's executive powers preclude judicial review, they preclude judicial review, period. In practical terms it makes no difference whether the person is a citizen or not.

Are you referring to the students at Harvard and Columbia who harassed the Jewish students and prevented them from getting to class? Or the Palestinian students who lived on campus but were not enrolled in classes. I believe they were paid to stir up the crowds by George Soros or his son were they not. President Trump did want those instigators out of here if they were on some type of visa or temporary paper of entry that could be revoked due to their actions. I was for it.

Is anyone else shocked by the amount of taxpayer money these schools are getting each year. I believe Harvard was getting around 2 billion a year. For what? With a 50 billion endowment fund? I'm confused.

Trump is keeping his promise to get the criminals and gang members out of the country. Innocent lives will be saved due to his actions. I am thankful this Holy Week.

Quote:

In Salvadoran prisons, deportees are reportedly "highly likely to face immediate and intentional life-threatening harm at the hands of state actors." ECF No. 44-4 (Sarah Bishop Decl.), 63. The country's government has boasted that inmates in CECOT "never leave"; indeed, one expert declarant alleges that she does not know of any CECOT inmate who has been released. See ECF No. 44-3 (Juanita Goebertus Decl.), 3; see also Bishop Decl., 23 ("We will throw them in prison and they will never get out.") (quoting Nayib Bukele (@nayibbukele), X (May 16, 2023, 7:02 p.m.). Once inmates enter the prisons, moreover, their families are often left in the dark. See Bishop Decl., 25 ("In a sample of 131 cases, [it was] found that 115 family members of detainees have not received any information about the whereabouts or wellbeing of their detained family members since the day of their capture.").

Plaintiffs offer declarations that inmates are rarely allowed to leave their cells, have no regular access to drinking water or adequate food, sleep standing up because of overcrowding, and are held in cells where they do not see sunlight for days. See Goebertus Decl., 3, 11; Bishop Decl., 31. At CECOT specifically, one declarant states that "if the prison were to reach full supposed capacity . . . , each prisoner would have less than two feet of space in shared cells . . . [which] is less than half the space required for transporting midsized cattle under EU law." Bishop Decl., 30. Given poor sanitary conditions, Goebertus points out, "tuberculosis, fungal infections, scabies, severe malnutrition[,] and chronic digestive issues are common." Goebertus Decl., 12. 34Case 1:25-cv-00766-JEB Document 53 Filed 03/24/25 Page 35 of 37

Beyond poor living conditions, Salvadoran inmates are, according to evidence presented, often disciplined through beatings and humiliation. One inmate claimed that "police beat prison newcomers with batons . . . .When he denied being a gang member, they sent him to a dark basement cell with 320 detainees, where prison guards and other detainees beat him every day. On one occasion, one guard beat him so severely that [he] broke a rib." Id., 8. Three prior deportees from the United States reported being kicked in the face, neck, abdomen, and testicles, with one requiring "an operation for a ruptured pancreas and spleen." Id., 17. One inmate reported being forced to "kneel on the ground naked looking downwards for four hours in front of the prison's gate." Id., 10. That same prisoner also said that he was made to sit in a barrel of ice water as guards questioned him and then forced his head under water so he could not breathe. Id.

One scholar avers that, since March 2022, an estimated 375 detainees have died in Salvadoran prisons. See Bishop Decl., 15, 43. Although the Salvadoran government maintains that all deaths have been natural, others respond that 75% of them "were violent, probably violent, or with suspicions of criminality on account of a common pattern of hematomas caused by beatings, sharp object wounds, and signs of strangulation on the cadavers examined." Id., 4445. When an inmate is killed, there are also reports that guards "bring the body back into the cells and leave it there until the body starts stinking." Id., 39. Needless to say, the risk of torture, beatings, and even death clearly and unequivocally supports a finding of irreparable harm. See, e.g., United States v. Iowa, 126 F.4th 1334, 1352 (8th Cir. 2025) (torture); Leiva-Perez v. Holder, 640 F.3d 962, 970 (9th Cir. 2011) (physical abuse).

Rarely agree with Sam anymore, but he's right on this one. End result will very likely be this guy gets deported, but certainly even the govt. admitted it made a mistake here, and should have provided him with Due Process.

The prudent thing for the Trump admin to do was to bring the guy back, hold the hearing, and then likely deport him. Instead, the admin gets sidetracked with silly legal battles because it has to fight everything.

Unfortunately I think this is exactly the battle that Trump wants. It's not about deporting one guy, but about setting precedent for the mass deportations yet to come.

Nah, we don't HAVE to destroy our judicial system trying to give a court date to every one of the 20,000,000 illegals that invaded our country just because some democrat NGO taught them thebword "amnesty". I know that's what democrats were hoping would have to happen as they voted in open border politicians, thinking just the thought of such an undertaking would keep Republicans from trying, but seeing the overwhelming numbers of invaders just the last 4 years means we need to just deport them and let their own country deal with them. The world is not entitled to live in America and overwhelm our courts. Full stop.
Our vibrations were getting nasty. But why? I was puzzled, frustrated... Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?

Millioms of illegals invade our country without due process......silence.

Proven illegal gang banger gets deported back to his own country....outrage.

Sincerely wish the neighborhoods of such hypocrities discover the need for iron bars on the windows and doors of their homes; just as exist on thousands of houses throughout US border communities.

Only then will such hypocrisy disappear.

He's also doing it for this. Democrats have recently lined up for men playing women's sports, illegals voting, and now this. Somehow he keeps baiting them into aligning themselves on the wrong side of issues where the vast majority of the public takes the other side.

But I think you're also right, and the Vance tweet is instructive (he often gives some reasoning for what Trump is doing, which we won't ever get from Trump). They're picking fights so as to develop the contours of due process going forward in deportation cases, which I'm sure will range based on the actual range of factual scenarios. I don't know enough about immigration procedure to have detailed thoughts on that, but it's probably about to be re-visited in any event.

Sounds nice and innocuous, except the more the contours of the law are defined, the more he simply ignores them. One gets the impression that it's less about developing the law than testing his ability to break it.

The opening of our borders to millions of people from the 3rd world should have tipped us off to that fact.

Or the radicalization around sex and gender issues (not being able to tell us what a woman is)

Or the whole let's spend ourselves into $30+ trillion in debt….and keep on spending forever

Or the locking people in their homes and crushing the economy over a virus with a low mortality rate.

Or maybe the whole thing about outright enthusiasm for getting into a potential nuclear war with Russia over some poor corrupt frozen ex-Soviet lands in far off Eastern Europe.

The list goes on and on and on

Incredible picture.

How can anyone believe a citizen of El Salvador, an established gang banger in our country illegally…….

is entitled to a 'home' in Maryland ?

Just can't fathom such naivety.

What your fellow posters are documenting is called guilt by association, a classic tool of authoritarian….

And violent transnational criminal syndicates have often used plausible deniability, innuendo, and dual use symbols to hide their motives and intents

(The Sicilian mob pioneered this stuff centuries ago)

Amazing how anyone can attempt to make a 'victim' out of this gang banger.

Did he live in Minneapolis or what ?
Amazing how anyone can fail to see that due process protects us all.

He is not a citizen..

He is not entitled to the same protections as American citizens

He is a illegal immigrate and citizen of El Salvador

Amazing how trolls didn't give a **** about due process when Biden and his freak show administrators encouraged millions of illegals to enter the country without properly vetting them.

He's not entitled to a home in Maryland, just a hearing before deportation
