Just showing you the direction the humanoid robots are going as far as autonomous movement. Ascending a ladder and getting into a crawl space or attic will not be difficult.

I use ChatGPT every day in my finance job. Every. Day.

Yesterday I downloaded 172 resumes from Bamboo and asked it to tell me the candidates I should interview. It nailed the 2 I was planning to interview anyways.

I gave GPT last year's cyber liability application (they are miles long) and had it compare my answers to another companies application and tell me how to answer each one.

I'm about to create a FAQ doc for our employees so that whenever they have a question about HR, expense reports, payday, etc, they'll just ask a custom GPT and it'll give them the answer. They won't have to come to me anymore.

Agreed. My hope is that AI and automation help solve many of the issues that cause world issues. Like hunger, income disparity, etc.

If it can do that then it could lead to society more like my first examples

There are more and more companies doing this. And I have found a few that must have an automated system that does it. I have applied for jobs and gotten the auto rejection email with a few hours or even more frustrating, at times when I am confident no one is actually working. Like 1 AM on a Sunday morning.

It is really frustrating when I spend so much time tailoring my resume and cover letter (often using chat gpt to word things better) and then knowing I didn't use the right keywords and get the rejection email without a human ever looking at my stuff to see I am qualified for the role.

We developed a system ironically to use AI to thwart the use of AI. Part of our hiring process requires a pretty extensive baseline skills/knowledge test. We discovered that many unqualified candidates were getting through to the next level of interviews. They were using ChatGPT or other AI tools to formulate their answers. We had already developed an advance learning management system using AI agents (human video and voice with an AI LLM laid across content) that was interactive and intuitive for responses. So we developed something similar for our hiring evaluation process, and now our skills and knowledge tests are conducted as videoed oral exams between the candidate and an AI "examiner" that can amazingly ask deeper questions for better measuring of content mastery, and drill down for clarity when the answer given is "fluff". And we know the answers are candidate driven.

It's years away for sure, and not just about the answer of "if it can do it", but what is the value of it doing this verses dozens of other potential functions we would have a higher necessity for doing.

The same thing was said in the 1920s due to technology increasing human productivity. We were going to work 10 hours a week. This would be true if we all had the same stuff people had back then. However, what they didn't anticipate was the level of human greed. We get more productive, we earn more, we spend more, so we never work less.

Wonder how much that says about the AI creator. For all the hype, there are still system design parameters which are written by humans.

Kind of why Siri answers controversial questions in ways that lean hard to California opinions.

We rode in a couple in SF. Just fine. They do get a little freaked out when they get too close to one another.
