To me it's the fact that your package is dropped somewhere in your yard, not on the stoop or the porch. Just sitting there for anyone to pick up

Guess I better drain the decorative pond before ordering from Amazon.

Amazon usually tries to do backyards for this reason. But due to trees or other issues they will do front yard if back is not an option. I think you also get to select times so that you can be sure your home versus driver delivery where it is just all day.

That's bizarre. Is what is left of his family suing them?

Add forklift operator to the list…

So two things….

1. They seem like a good start for moving things short distances but not for actually lifting like into a truck or high shelf like what a forklift can do.

2. The pallet looks like it is special made for those things. If you look at the pallet it does not have supports that go all the way under it like most pallets do but two tunnels for them to go in where most other pallets you have to drive the forks over the supports.

Those aren't forklifts. They are pallet jacks.

I have a customer who's been installing one of those systems. Cool to see. Quite a challenge to get up & running. Even the "experts" on the install are still learning via trial & error.....so many glitches they've never seen before.

True. But the tweet and post said "the end of the forklift" so that was why my response was based on the forklift claim.

Those are just automated pallet jacks like you see in the background of the video and what is used at stores like HEB or Walmart for just moving a pallet from point A to point B.

I would love a deeper dive into this to see how many of those with degrees have them in something like gender studies or other useless degree that you can't get a job with. I would bet there is not a large number of that unemployed group that has business, engineering, computer science, accounting, science fields, or other degrees like that.

A broader question would be has the quality of college education dropped overall? There will still be high level schools, but have enough schools lowered standards to make an impact? Are graduates of those schools proving less qualified than before.

A very valid question.

Along those lines…. Would the traditional schools (UT, ATM, BU, type schools) have a different unemployment rate than the online schools (Grand Canyon type schools)?

Tricky question, not least because a lot of people get their Bachelor's degree from one school and their Master's degree from another.

It also may depend on the type of employment. Would a higher unemployment rate or a lower position rank (and pay) be more important as a red flag?
