Same for the state or national level. Plenty of them do things that people claim they won't vote for them again..... but then 2, 4 or 6 years later.... they vote for them.

Problem with scenes like this is those who are against a development are more likely to turn up at a meeting. Those for it would more likely be less enthusiastic and absent. The indifferent are, well, indifferent.

You have to understand where he is coming from as a developer. Cheap property, high returns and no tenants. He is not talking architectural, environmental or quality of life. He is talking dollar signs. He would never allow one near his residence. Same with White rock, they will build them in your neighborhood rake in cash and tell you how looks dont matter or the hum doesn't matter or that they are safe (we really don't know and just starting to research the impact of particulant impacts).

But they make money for the developer...
