Things change. New information comes to light.

Perhaps Trump straight up lied to everyone about no new wars. Or, perhaps something bad was going to happen if he didn't act against Iran. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.


I remember in 2008, Obama made an issue about the prison at Gitmo and how he was going to close it. He was a senator at the time and probably didn't have all the information necessary for his bold plans.

He is elected and serves 8 years - Gitmo never closed.

Did he lie to everyone or was there a more compelling reason to keep it open?

Neither you nor I know all the information that went into the decision to bomb Iran.

My opinion is that it must have been something compelling to pull Trump into it.

Time will tell one way or the other. No need for pearl clutching at this point.

I agree with you on everything you say. I am for what he did, it had to be done and the Israeli's didn't have the tech to do it. No issue. But, I also had no problem with Biden selling (I said selling) weapons to Ukraine. Or, the US having a combat presence in NATO. Or, our presence in the Far East. I had no problem with Trump giving Ukraine Javelin's. I was pissed at Obama for apologizing and sending cash and blankets.

I was NOT for Cheney's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I am called a NeoCon for those positions. (I use me as an example, it is easier).

Don't tell me how NeoCon's are bad and the cause of all things bad and how Trump is different. Trump's actions in both terms are as NeoCom as you get. This Iran move makes Cheney proud, WMD, regime change, and a coalition? This is the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld playbook. If Nikki Haley did this you guys would be screaming. (Add missing truckloads of uranium we HAVE to go find...)

Trump is as NeoCon as Bush, Cheney, Halley and the others. Not because of his speeches, but because of his actions. Listening to you guys now do back flips to get in line with Donald is ridiculous, humorous but ridiculous. Then tell us you aren't this is always what Donald said...
