Let's see, would I want BBL or Trump negotiating with a nuclear threat?

Hummmmm

Hahahahahhahahahahahaha

You're right guys. This is totally the same thing.

I sincerely laughed out loud.

Wow.
So you read comic books instead of your history texts, then.

That explains a bit.

What? You want to try that joke again?

Trump couldn't carry Reagan's jock. Bone spurs and whatnot.
I never compared Trump to Reagan.

But funny thing is, you just did.

So the reference to Reagan walking away from Gorbachev was just a random story that had NOTHING to do with Trump walking away from Kim?

Lol. Kay.
Walking away from a bad deal is smart.

Not sure how you keep missing that fact, BBL.

Not legitimizing an incredibly bad actor BEFORE walking away is even smarter.

Good to admit you we're comparing the two. That's growth. Proud of you.
Weak post, BBL.

Come on, admit Trump did the right thing here.

Anything else would be dishonest and kind of obviously biased.

Lol. He did the least wrong thing.

He shouldn't have ever been there. He should have bailed the second NK took providing a full inventory off the table in the days before the event. That's an absolute non-starter.

You can't expect them to be serious about any sort of denuclearization if they won't even provide an inventory of their capabilities.

He did the right thing after a series of incredibly stupid things.

But he managed to clear Kim of any responsibility for killing Otto Warmbier, before he left. Great stuff!
You really refuse to see things as they are.

Yes or no, Trump got Kim to release political prisoners since he took office?

Yes or no, NK has stopped nuclear testing?

Yes or no, NK has returned the remains of US soldiers killed in Korea?

If all you can do is parrot the extreme left end of an issue, you are nothing but a shill and justify everything Florda says about you.

I have seen you show intelligence and reason, so it's only damaging your case to refuse to grant the President credit for even obvious success.

Yes or no, NK still has nukes

Yes or no, they have been legitimized thanks to Trump's meeting of them?

Yes or no, they have gained more in these "negotiations" than we have?

Yes or no, Kim Jong Un is a murderer who had multiple members of his own family killed in cold blood and our President has spent the last two years talking about how "great" and "sharp" he is and now much he [Trump] likes him?

If you're going to give Trump credit FOR NOT ****ING THS UP COMPLETELY then you have literally set the bar so low he couldn't trip on it.

Why are you so blindly loyal to Trump that you CANNOT admit he has played this all wrong?

IMO

Trump has accomplished all that was reasonably possible in the time allowed so far .

1. Real sanctions are in place.....and they are squeezing NK

2. No recent missle flights over Japan

3. War like rhetoric is way down .

4. NK now realizes Trump will not be hurried into a worthless political showpiece treaty .

Time is on Trumps side here.....whether one hates him or not .

Are you serious? None of those are things.

"War like rhetoric is way down?"

That ******* was tweeting about "fire and fury" and "who has the larger button" 2 years ago and now he's singing Kim's praises and absolving him for the murder of an American citizen.

You're giving him credit for not completely ****ing up stupid situations he got himself into.

It's like complimenting a neighbor on his expert driving after he drove home drunk and park his car in the front yard without killing anyone.

Jesus.

Try to calmly make your points ....and lets enjoy a reasonable discussion.

Unlikely either of us is going to drastically alter our opinions....but let's be civil anyway ...ok ?

My friend ....I wouldn't share a meal with Donald Trump. He's the complete narcissist. Trump is also vain, bombastic and often rude.

However Trump is certainly smart .

You don't win the presidency....coming from outside the system , hated from day one by 70% of the media .....by pure luck .
Oldbear83
How long do you want to ignore this user?
BBL, I will share something with you.

Personally, I do not like Donald Trump one bit. I believe he won the GOP nomination largely because the media gave him the bulk of attention. I also believe Trump has largely been a hands-off boss who sometimes lets people do the wrong thing because he's not watching closely, and a man whose ego compels him to seek attention whether or not that is good for the plan.

But Trump was clearly a better choice than Hillary, which got him elected, although it left him with a GOP which did not trust his motives and purposes at first. Then Trump started producing results, starting with the economy and court appointments. Conservatives have largely been delighted with Trump's work in office.

I already gave you the short scorecard on Trump's success in North Korea. The return of political prisoners, the pause, now more than 18 months long, in nuclear testing, the return of US soldiers' remains ... these are real successes, and notably more than were accomplished by Obama, either Bush, Clinton, and so on.

It's like Trump birdies a hole notorious for bogeys, and you refuse to give him credit because he didn't hole in one. That's petty and short-sighted.

Now I understand that liberals don't want to give Trump any credit; we certainly saw conservatives who refused to give Obama any credit. Frankly, such behavior does not reflect maturity or wisdom, only partisan malice which offends reasonable people. It's thinkable that such behavior will drive independents to support Trump for re-election, especially if the Democrats nominate one of the wild malcontents we see so much in the news.

Want to get rid of Trump? Strange as it may sound, the first step might be give him credit for what he gets right, so reasonable people will see you being reasonable.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

You're giving him credit for not completely ****ing up stupid situations he got himself into.
Exactly. You don't realize what an improvement that is over his predecessors.

Please tell me you're not serious.
Please tell me you haven't forgotten Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The fact that we don't have another major mess on our hands is an accomplishment in itself. Hillary, the brains behind the Syria fiasco, would not have done nearly as well.

So... you're blaming the Arab Spring on Obama?

You're blaming him for the fact that he DIDNT go in unilaterally (he went to Congress for approval)?

This is a dizzying take. Just... wow.
It is dizzying. Where did you get all that?
He gets his information off Twitter and personal communications, but he can't share that with you

Lol. Right. This is all justified because Hillary might have been President.

Get out of here.

This Trump Presidency has been bumbled from the start. Literally every aspect has been marred by constant lies and incompetence.

He couldn't even make it to the transition without Flynn selling out his country. That's a fact. We couldn't make it through the inauguration without the STUPIDEST spat over crowd sizes.

This whole thing has been a clown show ever since.

FIFY. Trump has appointed two constitutionalist justices to SCOTUS, thus saving the nation from immediate judicial tyranny Clinton would have imposed with her choices.

If Trump did nothing else good (and he's done a great deal of good), that would be enough to justify voting for him. ONLY that.

you're supposed to be a smart guy but you post this crap. Let the guy with the HS diploma help you out.

Yes, sometimes the end does justify the means. See for example the US partnering with the Soviets to defeat Germany. How could we have ever given arms to the Soviets??? Well, we did and it worked.

We've elected an egomaniac who has nominated two solid judges to scotus. He may get a chance at a third. Had HRC not run such a poor campaign, she'd already have 3 very liberal judges in place as RBG would have already retired. I'll sit through a clown show to get 3 good judges.

I've got work to do but, I'm sure I could find a half dozen examples that you are happy with where the end justified the means.

Your brain is not just a store house for info. It can also process that info logically. Give that a shot.

Republicans, could have and should have nominated one of the other candidates. They would have gotten two solid judges on SCOTUS, possibly one even better than the last one. The Democrats could not have beaten any of the other Republican candidates with Hillary as their nominee. The problem is the field of Republicans was too great, which left the door open for Trump to win with his gullible and solid 40%. Now the Republicans, most likely will lose in 2020, unless the far left locks in behind one extreme candidate worse than Hillary, as happened with the Reps. last go round. In that case, Trump might pull off another term.
