5/27/1907 - President Theodore Roosevelt reserved a strip of land on the southern US border as necessary for border security. 60 FEET of land was allocated (excluding that land which was already lawfully owned). There is NO CLAIM by left that the government will be taking land to build the wall.

You're thinking of the land sought by Bush for the fence.

"But much of the land the Bush administration requested was already owned by the federal government, said Gerald S. Dickinson, an assistant professor of law at the University of Pittsburgh who focuses on land use and constitutional law. The wall Trump wants to build would be different, he said."
10% of TX has a fence vs 80-90% for the other three states. Need a wall all over the Big Bend National Park.

That is the most unguarded part of the border by far. No fencing for about 500 miles from El Paso, TX to Laredo, TX.

2000+ crossing per day.
Yeah, this isn't about fence v wall. You alleged the state already owns this property. It doesn't. It will take land away from owners.

Doesn't make it right. But it is a favored statist technique.

Cool. You live in a state controlled country...you just now realizing that?

All the power we have is using the state at this point, and even that isn't much power.

You're crazy if you think the puppetmasters of the country will get us away from the binary system.

I disagree with the last part. The problem is government's size and inertia, which also makes it very, very hard to get it to change course, but it can be done, and is done from time to time.

The need is for us to find the combination of a truly honorable, brilliant and charismatic leader at the same time the public is receptive to the idea. We need another James Polk, another Grover Cleveland, or another Reagan but this time with a GOP majority behind him.

Still waiting for the US to get something besides fake promises.

Actual dialogue to begin with. Peace talks. Trade talks.
Now the effort is denuclearization and it's looking pretty good.

BBL: "North Korea has only INCREASED their nuclear capabilities. That's a fact."

I don't think so. NK has destroyed two known facilities, has not conducted nuclear tests in almost two years, and has reduced their uranium stockpile by 15%.

Not sure how you read that as "increased'

They've quit testing because they don't need to anymore. They have full capabilities and haven't stopped, only gotten rid of a couple of old sites WITHOUT INSPECTIONS. So we're just taking their word for it, I guess? Sure you totally would have been cool with it if Obama had done that.

There's no unclassified proof of NK's capabilities, but there are plenty of experts who say so. Even Pompeo has come out and said as much.

And it's funny you say Obama was "trigger happy." You haven't met a statement you couldn't twist, have you?

He was president for 8 years and went away from conventional warfare. Eisenhower launched more missiles than FDR did. Guess that makes him more bloodthirsty.
