I am an authority on dog days. I spent many an August evening in the outfield bleachers of Arlington Stadium. Spending $2 to experience 100+ degree heat and see a team 20 games out seemed like a fair exchange, considering I usually had a whole section to myself.Iron Claw said:SMack said:

I, too, spent several days in Arlington stadium in the heat of the summer as a young lad and don't think I ever saw a victory. We did, however, plan our outings around give-away games and got plenty of miniature bats, batting helmets, and baseballs (some of them subsequently signed by a bullpen pitcher or catcher whose name was unrecognizable). No need to buy a souvenir according to the parents.
