Nothing happening this late on a Friday night.

Things that was accomplished this week they attach the first roof trust and completed the bowl, sitting closest to the river

Was a busy night last night they were working on the upper seating on the highway side looks like today there's concrete being poured and then working on the roof and some other stuff

A few observations:

1. Finally able to see that the club side is toward downtown and the student side toward I-35.

2. This is shaping up to be a mash-up of Moody Coliseum at SMU and the old Compaq Center in Houston before it became Lakewood Church. When Compaq was built, it had the usual narrow concourses common in the 1970s. Concession lines used to stretch the length of the arena. No way to widen them, so they added a food court on one side of the arena with lots of room for concession stands and places to stand and eat. Looks like we will have something similar on the north side (club side) with much narrower concourses on the student side.

3. That's really, really tiny. If you are looking out the window of the Baylor Club across the river, you can see the old HOT coliseum on top of the hill across town in a direct line beyond Foster. Looks like you could fit Foster inside HOT and have room to spare.

I'm pessimistic that the Ferrell Center will remain a venue for a few minor sports + special events related to BU student population. Non-stop heating and cooling for A / T and Volleyball just won't have a positive bottom line $$$.

At some point BU will have to repurpose it further for more human traffic routinely in it to justify the light bill.

Now if you take the similar looking dome in Belton, TX just down the Interstate as a model, BU can become the tractor pull and grandma knitting sales center of Texas.

cost doesn't matter. Title 9 requires us to keep it as a female sports arena so we are xompliant from a facilities standpoint

It's quite a busy night at the arena but can't figure out what they're working on so many trucks coming in and out. Seems like they have a full on team tonight not just half a crew. Correction looks like they may be getting ready to pour more concrete.
