You can barely see it over the trees. Tiny arena is tiny.Yogi said:

I brought up the fact that architecturally it is not on par with the football stadium when the renderings first emerged. I was clobbered with comments indicating "I just don't get it." To me, if u spent that kind of money, u want a timeless gem of a design, not a prefab look. I'll stay open minded until I see it in person, but unfortunately, it appears I was on target.
Word on the TCU campus is that gar can be trained to attach mines to pontoon boats. If something like this is true, sailgating is in danger.Yogi said:

The construction on @Baylor's Foster Pavilion is coming along nicely!

100%
Love that we are getting a new arena....love the location....love the size...hate the architecture
Would have loved for it to have followed a more classic design on the outside.

Because she was running her standard scam. Press faux complaints on issue A to get concessions in area B.historian said:
I understand the debates over location although I don't understand Mulkey throwing a fit over it, if those rumors are true. Personally, I thought the original plans made sense except the parking issue.
There are 455 parking spaces in the new garage, plus probably 50-60 surface spaces in the Robinson Tower lot. At FC, there are 770 spaces south of the main drive off U-P and probably another 1,000-1,200 spaces on the north side toward the ballpark and Getterman. So there are 1,200-1,500 cars that otherwise parked onsite at FC who won't be onsite at Foster.historian said:

The decision was made & construction is proceeding nicely. I have to admit the current location makes a lot of sense: high visibility & easy access to interstate highway. The parking problem is solved with new garage (traffic will be another issue). I also see the desire to have it on the river. If someone ever builds a hotel on the river, it adds the prospect of a river taxi.
