I am very interested to see what other recruits we have been going after.

For me Kymora and Tessa I did not even know we were going for and I am sure there are a ton more. If you have not seen film on these players you should!!!

Kymora reminds me a lot of Jordan Lewis even the way she shoots the 3 seems similar. And everyone that talks about her says she is the hardest worker they know and you can see that in the way she plays. If she was to be a Bear next year Sarah will be great to take her under her wing.

Tessa had a Knee injury in High School which made her go down on the recruiting boards but is making her comeback. She is a lethal shooter and has some size to her height wise at 5'10.

It does not seem the staff has like a specific type of players they are going for in certain positions. I like it and I will always be interested to see how our schemes grow and change to meet these players strengths!!

Not sour grapes but seems odd that she would have picked Virginia over Tennessee and Baylor if it were her decision to make. Doesn't make a lot of sense...

I think Virginia is like 5 minutes from where she lives. They just got a new coach. The coach is from Missouri State and she is trying to build something super great. I hope she has a wonderful season there!!

I believe the class of 2024 will be a huge class for us.

Besides possibly Taliyah, who are you.seeing as a possibility for 2024?

We have offered Jordan Lee and very very athletic and versatile forward form California, I believe I saw we offered a girl from Canada Toby who played on the FIBA team. We offered Britt Prince, Jaloni already came on a Unofficial Visit, Justice Carlton from Cyfair Elite. Joyce Edwards the number 1 recruit is someone we have been going after.

I believe if we have a huge season this upcoming year, these pieces will fall into place. I know we cannot get all of them but the staff has had years to build relationships with these kids.

My guess is that she wanted to play close to home and that is very understandable . Best of luck to her at Virginia.

Not trying to be negative as we know it takes time to build relationships (even with 8th and 9th graders now) but looks like we will be headed back to the portals for recruits for 2023.

You are not being negative, you are correct. As of right now I only know of one person that could possibly commit to Baylor. And if she does she could very much be the only one being that it is the middle of September and we have 0 2023 commits.

Big year coming up for Nicki. Need to win the conference and do some damage in the tourney. Majority of the players on the team our Nicki's now and she needs to show that she can win with them. If she does this recruiting should follow.

The years surrounding bigger classes are not going to be huge classes, After we got the big class of 2018 with Lyss, Queen, Bickle, Honsesty, and Decosta we follow it with a one person class in Jordyn Owens. In order to attract the top players I think they really have to see a fit for themselves to play. I think the talent we have gone after for the 2024 class is a lot better than a huge class in this go around. I would take Tessa to help with Jamee leaving and then we will need some leadership from the post position so I think we can find something for that in the portal. To help Erika and Kyla. I believe the "Juniors" Sarah, and Jana will have 3 years left. I say all this to say I will take a year of not recruiting just bodies to have on a roster to make room for a class we will have had more time to build relationships with great recruits.

I would doubt we have a big recruiting class this year. We have 13 players with 4 graduates/seniors ( Caitlyn , Jaden, Aijha,
Ja Mee and Dre). We will definitely lose Cait and JaMee and likely Aijha. Jaden said in an interview that she will be here 2 more years ( for masters). Not sure what Dree will do. Unless some of players go to portal, we will return 10 players (11 if Dre returns.). Also the staff is recruiting some very high level 2024 players. I could see them taking just 1 or 2 recruits this year.

Yes winning in big games and going far in the tourny will be great. I also think having a great atmosphere at home will also make a huge difference. They wanna play where it is cool to play.

The 2022 and 2023 classes were always going to be tough. Every player that Baylor recruited (by the prior staff) received a huge earful of poisoning the well. Starting fresh is tough. Doing it against substantial Negative recruiting by the former coach is another level.

2024 will be a better year for Baylor. We are gaining relationship with classes 24' 25' and 26'. I don't think Baylor is showing interest but man would I love to get Tobi Fournier. 6'2 that can dunk effortlessly. I remember someone posted her on here a few years ago when she was in 8th grade dunking. Man she would be a crowd pleaser but wishful thinking .

I did hear comments at an aau tournament about 3 maybe 4 years ago in Dallas. I didn't think to much of it until I heard a second rumor about the staff on the circuit. I know Partial of it was correct because they named a player that was leaving and in fact that all American did end up transferring.

Any news on recruits on campus this weekend?
