Do a lend-lease on a couple B1s. Sell the IDF a dozen bunker busters. Problem solved. We would be no more involved than China and Russia already are.

We sell arms
China sells arms
Russia sells arms

Shouldn't be a problem.

It looks like lend-lease may be on the table

Josh Gottenhiemer is Jewish.... shouldnt he recuse himself from weapons sales involving Israel?

Why is that not considered a conflict of interest?
From whom would you demand other recusals?
Might any of them involve you?

I mean, if you are a Christian, are you going to recuse yourself from voting on any trade deals with Christian countries?

I would demand recusals from anyone who is eligible for dual citizenship with a country that uses organizations in America that repeatedly violate FARA (Foreign Agent Registration Act) or until the dual citizenship law in America is repelled or until FARA is applied equally to individuals and organizations who work on behalf of the Israeli government.

Then why isnt he focused on issues concerning the citizens of New Jersey?

I dont understand why he is focused on laws that exclusively benefit Israel?

***Edit*** FARA is suppose to apply to American citizens who work on behalf of foreign government. But for whatever reason this never applies to Israel...

All Jews are eligible for Israeli citizenship as a blood right.

Before Jews corrupted our citizenship laws in the late 1970ties, America did not allow dual citizenship.

If your family immigrated over here through Ellis Island in the twenties, and you wanted to become an American citizen, you had to forfeit the citizenship of your country of origin.

Its a small sacrifice people had to make to demonstrate their loyalty and desire to integrate into American society and it is insulting that these laws were ever changed.

He's a Israel First Jew who doesnt represent the best interests of his constituents and instead shackles them to will of a foreign government and he has no business in government... let alone congress.

He should also be required to register under FARA or go to jail.

that is anger in search of an insult.

We do not recognize dual citizenship. It is immaterial in law. It only matters whether or not you are a US Citizen. If you are, you are treated as such (no matter what other countries you may hold or be eligible for citizenship). If you are not, you are not.

That's pretty simple, and pretty practical. The "you can't be dual" line of reasoning is a rabbit hole. A super-majority+ of Italian Americans do not realize that many of them might be eligible for Italian citizenship, which is among the easier ones to obtain (as far as such goes). A very large but somewhat smaller number would have no interest in doing it whatsoever. Are you going to burn the midnight oil trying to find out who might be eligible for such in order to disenfranchise any Italian American that disagrees with you on policy toward Italy? Toward Nato? Or for that matter, why wouldn't you disenfranchise them from any foreign policy topic at all? Italy belongs to Nato, which supported Israel in the operation against Iran, ergo.... (see how that line of thinking works.)

The policy has to stand on its own two legs. When you start looking for ways to exclude ideas you don't like, you are indicating that you don't think your argument is strong enough on merits. A citizen is a citizen, no matter who hopelessly misguided they might be (as you are sometimes).

***Edit*** FARA is suppose to apply to American citizens who work on behalf of foreign government. But for whatever reason this never applies to Israel...
Two-thirds of Americans think Nato is a good idea. Do you want all of them to register under FARA?

All Jews are eligible for Israeli citizenship as a blood right.
As is the case with most Americans, it is almost certain that you have a right to claim citizenship of several foreign countries. Have you registered for FARA?

Before Jews corrupted our citizenship laws in the late 1970ties, America did not allow dual citizenship.
We don't allow it. We do not acknowledge it. It is an immaterial fact. Taking care of your obligations as a US citizen is all that matters.

Those last two are reasonable arguments, and I would suspect support for them has grown quite a bit over the decades. I'm not sure, however, that they would make much difference in anything. If you believe that it is in the interest of the USA to have a strong relationship with a strong Israel, what difference does it make if you are hold dual citizenship or not?

Win the policy argument on policy on merits, not by finding ways to exclude viewpoints you disagree with.

Several organizations and groups in the US actively support Israel, with varying focuses and levels of influence. These include prominent lobbying groups like AIPAC, religious organizations such as Christians United for Israel, and various Jewish organizations.
Here's a breakdown of some key pro-Israel groups:
Lobbying and Advocacy Groups:
American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC):
.
AIPAC is a major lobbying group that works to strengthen the US-Israel relationship and influence US policy in favor of Israel. It has a large grassroots network and a PAC that provides direct financial support to candidates who align with its agenda.
J Street:
.
While also pro-Israel, J Street advocates for a two-state solution and a more nuanced approach to US-Israel relations, often differing from AIPAC's stance.
Israel Allies Caucus:
.
This is a bipartisan group in the US House of Representatives that works to support Israel's security and fight against antisemitism and the BDS movement.
Jewish Organizations:
Various Jewish Federations and Community Relations Councils:
.
These groups work to advocate for Israel within their communities and engage in grassroots advocacy efforts.
Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations:
.
This organization brings together a wide range of Jewish groups to forge a unified front in support of Israel.
Zionist Organization of America, American Jewish Committee, American Jewish Congress:
.
These are older, more established Zionist organizations that have historically played a role in advocating for Israel and Jewish causes.
Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism:
.
This organization represents the Reform Jewish movement and engages in advocacy for Israel and other social justice issues.
Jewish National Fund-USA:
.
This organization focuses on supporting the land and people of Israel through various projects and initiatives.
Religious Groups:
Christians United for Israel (CUFI):
.
This is a large evangelical Christian organization that strongly supports Israel based on religious beliefs about the importance of the Jewish state.
Other Evangelical Groups:
.
Many evangelical Christians believe that the continued existence of Israel is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and are strong supporters.
Other Groups:
Washington Institute for Near East Policy:
.
This think tank conducts research and analysis on the Middle East, often with a focus on US-Israel relations.
Various civil rights groups:
.
While some civil rights groups advocate for Palestinian rights and criticize Israeli policies, others may support Israel's security and right to exist

I've posted numerous polls that show that when you look at Millennials only about 25% support Israel.

Right at about 50/50 among Millennial Republicans.... and less than 20% of Millennial Democrats.

Israel favorability only gets worse with Gen Z.

Well, if Gen X and Millennials don't support, we should just walk away from our positions in the Middle East. Probably Asia, Europe and South America too...

But, who do those Generations support, besides themselves? Curious, what do those Generations support besides a shorter work weeks, less working hours, Government paying for them and "mental health days"? You are really good at what you don't like, what do you support that isn't self-driven?

Millenials and Gen Z are also the largest supporters of Hamas. They have been successfully brainwashed by the left into thinking that Muslims are the good guys. Very sad.
They are the generations that chant "from the river to the sea", and wave terrorist (Palestinian) flags on American holidays. They also have the largest percentages who believe in climate change BS, LGBT nonsense, and America is an evil, racist nation.

We have a lot of work to do with those kids. We need to undo ALL the lies, not just the pro-hamas/anti-jew lies.
Pretty sure bar-bearian isn't going to be helpful in spreading the truth... he is a zealot when it comes to the leftist lies about Jews.

Yeah, sadly you are right. We started losing the education system with Gen X, it only got worse as time went on. I am a "cusp" GenX and Boomer, literally right on the last/first year.

My first several years of school were reading, writing, arithmetic and the teachers controlled the class. I remember when the NYC public school system went "liberal", it was not a good thing. Funny, NYC public schools have a bad reputation, yet IF you are in the "Regents" level it is among the best. If you are not, it is the Bronx Zoo...

Some of us realize that there are no good guys in this equation. The people leveling a whole country and cheering it on are not the good guys. They want to force all these muslims into Europe, Canada and America after they destroy everything in Gaza. Why should Christian countries have to take all these muslims who are not compatible with the west?

I suspect most of those brainwashed youngsters chanting, "from the river to the sea" have no idea what river and what sea they are talking about and are clueless that they are supporting genocidal crazies with a death fantasy like Hitler's.

If Qubcois had been the source of rocket attacks on the US, do you think our patience with that situation would have been as long as Israel's?
Add to that an attack on July 4 celebrations killing a couple thousand civilians and a complicit Canadian government. There would have been an invasion of Quebec. Had the Qubcois fought from behind hospitals, schools, and buildings all over Montreal, there would have been lots of civilian casualties there.
This would not happen here, so some of us really don't understand the situation in Israel.

Epstein wasnt working for Mossad?

I have always been the most conservative member of this board when it comes to immigration.

I want net negative immigration, a freeze on H1-Bs, ending birthright citizenship, and revoking citizenship of naturalized citizens and their anchor babies who refuse to integrate into American society.

I am the only one with the temerity to say we should adopt the IDF approach and use lethal force at our borders against those who resist or attack our border agents.

Support for Israel isnt a left vs right issue.

It those with common sense vs those who have been indoctrinated into a Ted Cruz religious heresy... that Satanyahu is some divine chosen one or that "blessing Israel" will do anything other than make America poorer and less free.

Only two groups support Israel in America.

1) Religious Zealot Boomercons over 50

2) Jews

I highly doubt his district is majority old Boomers over 50 and Jews.

When did supporting Israel to defend themselves and to allow the US a presence in the Middle East turn to an immigration talk???

Some of us realize that there are no good guys in this equation. The people leveling a whole country and cheering it on are not the good guys. They want to force all these muslims into Europe, Canada and America after they destroy everything in Gaza. Why should Christian countries have to take all these muslims who are not compatible with the west?
If Qubcois had been the source of rocket attacks on the US, do you think our patience with that situation would have been as long as Israel's?
Add to that an attack on July 4 celebrations killing a couple thousand civilians and a complicit Canadian government. There would have been an invasion of Quebec. Had the Qubcois fought from behind hospitals, schools, and buildings all over Montreal, there would have been lots of civilian casualties there.
This would not happen here, so some of us really don't understand the situation in Israel.

Ok.

Still not our problem.

Israel can pay for their own missiles, tanks, and jets with their own money.

Satanyahu could have snapped his fingers and used the political capital he has in this country to get that Jewish scumbag Mayorkas sacked from his position as secretary of Homeland Security... instead they let him open our borders and allow 40-50 million illegal invaders into our country... Mayorkas was so evil he was flying the invaders in from Nicaragua, Cuba, Haiti, and Venezuela. It was a deliberate attack on this country.

Congress should spend a lot more time on immigration and next to zero time supporting Israel yet we see the inverse.

The only thing Congress did the last two years of Biden Presidency was send money to Israel and Ukraine.

They did nothing to secure our borders or fix the broken immigration system.
