Indeed, went to the Elite after my first visit to Baylor with my Waco born and raised mom.Crash Davis said:
They completely emasculated The Elite. Sad times.
They had a killer happy hour when I was in school. I can't remember what the specials were, but I'd go in there and order a bunch of appetizers and margarita after margarita and my tab was always like 8 bucks.Bahamabear said:Indeed, went to the Elite after my first visit to Baylor with my Waco born and raised mom.Crash Davis said:

My wife wanted me to take her on our next visit to waco to see my mom, i showed her the menu and she said...oh, never mind.
It was even better if you knew the managers and waiters... When Sammy bought George's by selling his portion of The Elite, those managers went with him.Crash Davis said:They had a killer happy hour when I was in school. How dare you. French toast casserole off the breakfast buffet and the build your own bloody mary bar were like heaven in my mouth.GhettoHEBear said:
My wife also went to Magnolia table without me. She really liked it.
It's a bummer that the bar is gone, but the food is no loss. The Elite hadn't been good in decades.
As a dude, I wouldn't admit to eating casseroleCrash Davis said:How dare you. French toast casserole off the breakfast buffet and the build your own bloody mary bar were like heaven in my mouth.GhettoHEBear said:

Honestly didn't even know eating casserole was viewed as an umanly activity. I usually try to avoid them because they suck, but if I find one that taste good? Sign me up.GhettoHEBear said:It's your truth?Crash Davis said:I'm pretty comfortable admitting the Elite's French toast casserole was the **** . I can support that
It's not. Quiche, maybe. But not casserole. Half the men in this state would be considered unmanly the way king chicken casserole is eaten around here.Crash Davis said:Honestly didn't even know eating casserole was viewed as an umanly activity. Of course she fell in love with UT and Austin...apparently there is an area on campus that was like some Disney resort with pools and stuff that blew them away. Then they made their way up to TCU.A Grateful Bear said:
What, no Austin review?

These days, there isn't much difference. Majors, libraries, internships, job placement, etc are secondary if not tertiary for most kids' processes.Malbec said:Is she looking for a college or a theme park?Tenacious D said:Of course she fell in love with UT and Austin...apparently there is an area on campus that was like some Disney resort with pools and stuff that blew them away.
