Tucker ever the pompous ass. He's so silly with his little game of gotcha.

Cruz is smarter by far but silly to go on his show, knowing this is what he and his team do - try to embarrass those they disagree with.

I agree... regime change is pointless.
We should just nuke every large city in Iran, and call it a day.
The Iranians will never seek peace with the West or with Israel... so let's just end it already.
If Iran was nuked off the planet tomorrow.... would you really notice any difference? Really?

I guarantee you would. Because that would start a larger nuclear exchange which would result in the destruction of major population centers in the United States and the cancellation of the 2025-2125 College Football Seasons.

You might not care about the 90 million or so ordinary people there going about their lives, but were predicted to win the Big XII this year and have a shot at the CFP. At least think about that.

B 52's are so obsolete its ridiculous.

IMO they are more dangerous to their air crews than anything else we've got flying.

For more than 60 years, B-52s have been the backbone of the strategic bomber force for the United States. The B-52 is capable of dropping or launching the widest array of weapons in the U.S. inventory. This includes gravity bombs, cluster bombs, precision guided missiles and joint direct attack munitions. Updated with modern technology, the B-52 is capable of delivering the full complement of joint developed weapons and will continue into the 21st century as an important element of our nation's defenses. The Air Force currently expects to operate B-52s through 2050.

LOL

The B52 is a flying coffin for its crew in any situation short of 100% air superiority over its target zone.

And with modern mobile missile platforms available; maintaining 100% air superiority is a vanishing proposition.

Past time to put B52s in the scrapyard before our airmen get hurt.

Just so we are playing with facts. The B52 has been in service since 1955, test flights in 1952 and first actual flights in 1954. The last B52 shot down was over Hanoi in 1972. There are 72 still active.

B52s shot down Mig21s in Vietnam.

Since 1972 there have been thousands of sorties and 0 B52s shot down.

That doesn't mean it can't happen or won't happen but I think you may be dramatically underestimating how good our Air Force is compared to the rest of the globe.

Damn bomber is 70 years old.

SEVENTY YEARS

How many aircraft stay in front line service even half that long ?

Big, slow, and super easy to track on radar.

Today's missiles would blow it out of sky easily.

This is not even remotely a close call……ground the museum piece.
LIB,MR BEARS

The B-52's electronic countermeasures suite is capable of protecting itself against a full range of air defense threat systems by using a combination of electronic detection, jamming and infrared countermeasures. The B-52 can also detect and counter missiles engaging the aircraft from the rear.

Tell me the relevance of the population of Iran, or what version of Islam they subscribe to, in deciding whether to strike at its nuclear capabilities and ballistic missiles. I truly am open to the possibility those things have some bearing on that decision, and Tucker's questions weren't designed to instead make Cruz look foolish by proving he doesn't know the answer to irrelevant questions. Knowledge is power, as you say, so please tell us how those two factors weighed for or against the strikes at issue.

Good luck millennial!

If we are going to start culling allies based on the fact they have spied on us, or us on them, then we aren't going to have any allies.

Hell, we've done it with abandon on our allies for years. I recall a couple of years ago the brouhaha that resulted when a report came out disclosing the extent of our spying operations on European allies.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/13/us/politics/us-spying-allies.html

Again, if this is truly Tucker's best argument of ridding ourselves of Israel as an ally, holy cow is it woefully unconvincing.

FTR, the country that spies on us the most is Russia. Yet, Tucker continues to sing their praises. Guess it just depends on whose ox is being gored.

So the dead Iranians would start launching the nukes that they don't own?
Or are you saying that the Russians would start launching at us because they love Iran that much? The Russians aren't that stupid. They wouldn't destroy themselves over the loss of Iran... nobody would.

Only a ****** Boomer would actually believe Russia is America's biggest spy threat.

The cold war ended 40 years ago sir!

Israel is America's biggest security threat and this has been reported ad nauseum. Even a modicum of effort researching this would make it abundantly clear.

We shouldn't be giving free handouts to a country that steals our confidential information and interferes in our elections.

Israel's proxy's should be required to register as foreign agents under FARA like every other country on Earth.

Dual citizenship should be abolished - my roots are so deep in this country I can't claim citizenship anywhere else so its only fair every else here makes the decision what country their true loyalty lies with.

The idea another country should be able to have free reign to do whatever the hell it wants with zero repercussions and that if they get caught, Boomers will deflect away by saying we were doing the same is so weak its no wonder Boomer have run this once great country off a cliff!

Everytime the US has gotten involved in a Middle East war there has been a mass displacement of Muslim refugees into Europe and America.

Iran is twice as large as Iraq almost 4x that of Syria. Destabilizing the country would create a catastrophic refugee crisis... as as we've seen in the past the Gulf Arabs will take our bribes to not attack Israel, but they won't lift a finger to help the refugees from America's ill conceived wars.

Only a complete idiot or a corrupt SOB would be so cavalier about going to war... which one is Cruz?
