Well per a source it's gonna get murky. I'm gonna bet the DA's office actually passes on prosecuting assault for once. But what I heard definitely confirms my stance on the athletic department pulling its head out of its butt and bringing the fire and brimstone to every athlete on campus.bearlyafarmer said:That possible scenario has been mentioned several times in this forum. That is your opinion. In my opinion, to some degree, the damage is permanent. While Baylor will continue on, in some ways it will never be the same as it was before this entire fiasco unfolded.D. C. I will continue to love Baylor, but I'll be damned if I'm going to sit in silence at the completely pathetic actions, or lack there of, by it's so called "leadership". I'm asking for those that are in leadership position to stand up to the false narratives, the wild accusations that are based solely on allegations, etc... Instead we get some members of our own damn BOR being the ones facilitating the misinformation on a national level.BaylorProud77 said:
No I'm not freaking kidding you. I believe in our new president and that things will change for the good or the better. I'm praying for the better. And when you criticize my Baylor you are criticizing my friends who dearly love her. Now get over yourself! You as well as I don't know everything. But we can still fight and pray instead of this endless bitterness. You think I don't know how it hurts our school every time we are on the news and laughed at by other schools! Baylor is a proud old school and I never let some twit like you bring her down!!!! You can be angry but this is your school too. I was raised under Abner McCall and he was a strong person. No way in hell will I not fight or stand up for Baylor. Now run along and play
Don't give me your "old school" omniscient BS, and claim I am "bringing her down". The so called "leaders" of this University are the ones that have done irreparable damage to my school. You go on and pray, and whatever else you feel will change the course we are on, but I will continue to ask for new leadership that actually has a spine and will not tolerate my University continuing to be destroyed by the media and public in general.
The damage is not irreparable.

I hope your source is correct. From what I know about the incident, there was a whole lot of stupid on both sides. Yes, they should all be punished but not have their Baylor education and reputations destroyed. I just hope the athletic department doesn't go Medieval on the football players just to make a point. It could do more harm than good. Stupid kids! They need to have the opportunity to learn from their mistakes.
I'm not sure which one of those was supposed to be shocking, but I guess we don't know if all 4 of those mentioned were the 4 involved in this incident or not. I think I would be pretty upset if I had been lumped in with 2 or 3 others that were, though.80sBEAR said:The cat is out of the bag, sister, thanks to David Smoak.BaylorProud77 said:

OK. I guess I assumed he wasn't involved because Rhule said those 4 had been suspended for "different disciplinary reasons" or something like that. Sounds like that might not be entirely straightforward.80sBEAR said:Dungeon Athletics said:I'm not sure which one of those was supposed to be shocking, but I guess we don't know if all 4 of those mentioned were the 4 involved in this incident or not. Gotta salute some of the points here....a serious "come-to-Jesus meeting" needs to happen, one which includes students and parents. This especially has to occur for scholarship students, be they athletes or not. Everybody needs to understand that some activity is unacceptable even knowing that kids make stupid decisions, and that the "prizes" some mention aren't ones anyone wants to take home.Chanceux said:Well per a source it's gonna get murky. Briles was criticized (and fired) for allowing "bad dudes" to remain on campus. It just appears to me that Rhule is being held to a different standard and that that sucks! Like jumpinjoe said, had the BOR just laid out the truth from the beginning, we would truly be making progress, in my opinion.
I'm all on board with the Christian Mission, but the BOR needs to realize we have real world issues like any other college campus in the country. Sexual assault protocol and procedures need to protect both Baylor women AND Baylor men. We are not there yet.

Nope. Some dumb moves can be overcome; some can't. And some should never be overlooked or excused. Performance was a poor word choice here....better way to say that is to say changed behavior can redeem a situation. Got nothing to do with playing a sport but has everything to do with academic performance though, and living in a community.Bro said:

I am not a betting man, but if I was would bet that in the end, the four football players are out and the two equestrian girls will remain. I think Baylor is still worried more about potential media fallout than doing what is right. The scales of justice continue to weigh heavily against the males. Not entirely Baylor's fault, - that is just the current climate we all live in today.
