Ron Johnson will win, book it!

NYT is trash and attempting to influence the election. That is not reporting, there is a clear bias in the wording
The quote about misinformation wasn't in the NYT article
but is was in their tweet

Whose tweet?
It wasn't in the article
is this what I get after welcoming you to the independents?

Scroll up, find the freakin tweet from NYT and read the
phrase in the picture put out in the NYT tweet

I read the article. That was not in the article
& I feel welcome
great. Read the tweet.. was it in the NYT tweet? Yes or no

The tweet belongs to NYT.. trash
I thought mean tweets weren't problems
You deceptively referenced the article when it is clearly in the tweet. Calling you out on your purposefully misleading statement isn't a comment on mean tweets but on deceptive posting.

Maybe try being honest.

New York Times called out for blasting Ron Johnson, hailing Mandela Barnes in debate preview
New York Times called Johnson 'leading peddler of misinformation' while Barnes was described as a 'rising star'
The New York Times tweeted out a rhetorically charged description of Wisconsin's U.S. Senate race candidates that led to familiar charges of bias against the liberal outlet.
Leading into the Thursday night debate, the Times sent a tweet that labeled Republican Sen. Ron Johnson as a "leading peddler of misinformation" and Democratic candidate Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes a "rising star."
"Senator Johnson, a leading peddler of misinformation, will debate the lieutenant governor Barnes, a liberal Democrat, who has been touted as one of the party's rising stars. The two will debate at 7 p.m. E.T.." the tweet read.

These kinda of generic numbers make it difficult to come up with scenarios where Dems win any of the battleground races. And will battle hard to keep traditionally safe seats.

Lo & behold, we see tightening races in places that GOP hasn't won in decades.

So the question becomes - is the GOP surging late, or has it always been a red tsunami. Smart money would bet on something closer to the latter.

Idk how many people have said on here that the polls would start to become more accurate as the election nears.

I don't understand, unless there is some "secret sauce" in their interpretation of the polls.

Do you understand their. projection.
It's the Carville Principle: "The incumbent gets his last number."

meaning.....Fetterman's polling average is 46%. Very few of those undecideds who are being polled are going to vote for him...IF they show up to vote.

So if you're Fetterman, you have to shrink the electorate....to ensure that the undecideds do not vote. You do that by going thermo-nuclear on Oz. Like Obama did on Romney - "He tied his dog to the roof of his car"....."binders of women"......etc....no critique is too outlandish. Each one will persuade a certain sliver of the electorate. You have to make your opponent looks even WORSE than you. Because if the undecideds do show up to vote, 8 out of 10 or more will vote for Oz.

Any incumbent consistently below 50% is vulnerable. And when they are stuck/capped in the mid-40's, they have a daunting challenge. They will not win if the people who are getting polled all show up to vote. The only route to victory is to make the undecideds stay home. And undecideds do NOT like negative campaigning. So. you launch barrages. It worked. That's how Obama won in 2012. He was very, very vulnerable, because he was very very unpopular. So he made Romney even more unpopular.

That is a viable plan if you are a likeable guy like Obama.
Fetterman is hardly the likeable guy type of guy.

And in this macro-environment, with raging inflation, mired in a recession, war abroad, etc....just nowhere is there sunshine to campaign in. Dems are less motivated than Repubs. Every poll done shows independents 3-1 or more leaning GOP. Etc.... Independents WILL vote. and they will not be voting blue.

red wave election..... Fetterman cannot stop the wave. Few Dem incumbents polling below 50 are going to survive.

only 2 of the RCP polls are really showing anything of value (throw out those less than 1000 respondents and throw out the polls that are RV instead of LV) and both place the spread well within the MOE..

Fetterman cant hit 50% and OZ is gaining which means undecideds are deciding.

Its a coin toss from a polling stand point. Voting enthusiasm leans hard GOP so calling a Toss up race for GOP is acceptable.

I've seen the internal polling numbers for Republicans in Georgia. It's almost even between Warnock and Walker. But for what it's worth that same internal polling was UGLY just 60 days ago so the trend is very positive for Walker. He also did surprisingly well in the debate. While it wasn't Lincoln-Douglas, what is a weak point for him and could have been a killer this close to the election turned out to be a positive for him and harmed Warnock.

Kemp is believed to be a lock majority with no run off.
