Even in 2000 presidential election, Bush had a 10,000 vote lead that was cut to 400 in a Democratic city of a battleground state (at the time).
Again, there is no reason that every county in the United States should not adopt similar best practices and policies and procedures to have election results counted accurately in a timely manner as well as precincts properly staffed with enough capacity to support turnout, which is easily predicted.
