Problem is that no one knows the # of outstanding votes in any Nevada County. Any ballot postmarked by yesterday and received by Friday counts.

Combine that item with the fact that most prognostications this election about changes in voting habits [post-COVID] have been significantly off…….in both directions.

Add to that the Wild Card of COVID shutdown on Clark & Washoe Counties. No one can really guess the level of punishment that service workers will hand out. Even 4-5% of that group swinging from D to R would have a huge impact. On a related note, no one really knows the number of Nevada residents [particularly service workers] who relocated during COVID for work. Even places like Minnesota saw Nevada casino worker influx.

How foolish is Trump going to look when he makes an announcement he is running in 2024 and comes out attacking Ron DeSantis before DeSantis has even announced he is running?

If Trump is smart he will delay his announcement until the midterms have been decided, - including the Georgia Senate runoff between Walker and Warnock. His endorsement at this point could do more harm than good.

My family is from Georgia. I disagree with all of this. Name one position Loeffler is liberal on. I like Collins, but he got his feelings hurt. And Kemp is a strong conservative and always has been. Just because he did not buy into Trump's fraud BS, does not mean he's not conservative. GA voters don't reject conservatives. They reject really bad candidates, like Walker. I would have voted for Walker, but he's truly one of the worst candidates I've ever seen. And I know you disagree, but I - and most conservative Georgians - blame Trump for losing GA last time. He tried to split the party and actually told folks not to vote. If the runoff turnout had been even remotely close to typical GOP #s, we'd be talking Sen Loeffler and Perdue. Georgia is one of only two states where Desantis is leading Trump head-to-head. There's a reason for that.

I have been saying since January of last year that Trump needs to go away. A number of conservative posters have been saying the same thing. Very few have said they want him to run again. Sure, there are exceptions, but they are few.

I think your error is that you get so hot and bothered by the very mention of the man's name that you lose the ability to think and reason. You've proven you're a pretty excitable guy. So when you see someone like me say they would vote for Trump over Biden as the lesser of the evils, you think that makes us bootlickers. For example it courted Southern Whites so that it could remain a viable national party in the face of a growing Democratic coalition.

Like you I favor Desantis over Trump in a primary.

Loeffler was kinda strange choice when Kemp picked her. I figured there was some kind of payback here that the general public doesn't know about.

IMO a non vote for Walker is as good as a vote for Warnock. Walker was not a good choice, but hey democrats can vote for a brain damaged candidate.

I think the thing that hurt republicans the most in the original runoff was the disconnect between Trump (and his minions), Loeffler/Purdue, and Kemp/Rafflesburger. Trump was going scorched earth about the election and fraud and L/P were silent. Kemp was MIA and Rafflesburger (after being pressed) offered a recount, (not a forensic audit of various ballots), did nothing about the reported irregularities and seem more interested in entrapping Trump then helping him. All around, I think there was no unified messaging, confusion and shock. Trump certainly played a big negative role but there was lots of blame to go around. I'm hoping it goes better this time. Hopefully the libertarian candidate endorses Walker and all parties are on the same page.
