Chances of that post being accurate are not very high.
Maybe. Maybe not. It forces one to think about the possibilities. Also, we already know that the federal government is incredibly corrupt and the bureaucracy is largely out of control. It's very believable even if it might be exaggerate a tad.
Agree. Musk is correct in the things he is pointing out. No codes to track spending?? Inexcusable.
My only concern has not changed. Get those making the decisions and giving the direction, not the poor middle to Junior mgt person caught in between a rock and a hard place.
Get rid of anyone doing unnecessary work, regardless of level of title. Government employment should not be a handout or paying people to do nothing of value. It was an important step making them all go to the office every day. "Working from home" became a lie for too many of them and an excuse for laziness and inefficiency. It's a waste of our tax dollars.
You are mixing issues. If a job is obsolete or redundant, either buy them out or reassign and do away with the position. Happens everyday in both public and private.
Working from home and NOT working is another issue, that is an HR performance issue, not a job class and to be held against everyone working from home. For example, Patent Attorneys work from home and have for decades. Whether they are working from home or in an office does not impact their ability to review patent applications. VA Nurse Mgr, sort of hard to do from home and if they are doing days way it is difficult to do off-site. Believe it or not, in the private sector I know Nurse Mgrs that work 2 days from home. Drives my wife nuts. Working from home in itself is not a problem, abuse and allowing jobs that require on-site to it because everyone else can is a problem. That is where the "fairness" plays into the equation, as well.
Destroying or burning out all levels of flexibility and ability to lower overhead in the US Govt function is stupid if the reason is mismanagement of previous administrations.
