I have not been to a Red Lobster restaurant in at least 30 years.

That's not a Trump problem, it's an 'ignoring your customer base' problem.

that is one thing that is not a Trump problem. It is a terrible restaurant problem. May have been there 2twice 35 yrs ago. yuk. If you want a biscuit without that nasty place, Popeyes biscuits ain't bad. I mean, they ain't nothing like Mrs. Hammerskin Hank's biscuits and Sorghum .

Those biscuits are the truth though

Cheese biscuits were great. But Red Lobster has been in financial straights for years. I haven't even seen one in a long time. They left where I live before Covid.

Jack, such information continues to remind us of what others seem to want to forget what is a ticking time bomb. Although I fear that the effort mentioned below will actually do little to significantly reduce it, at least some on both parties are at least talking about ways to address it.

Ray Dalio, Scott Bessent and House members from both sides of the aisle are rallying around a '3% solution' to tame the out of control national debt https://l.smartnews.com/p-7fXvYLKw/C9vQHz

Bessent presented that idea to Trump before being selected as Treasury Sec.

450lb calf sold for $2600 last week at the sale barn.
4yr old mama w/calf sold as pair for $6300.

It is finally lucrative to run a cattle herd.

depends. annual rainfall + quality of forage. Average unimproved pastures in Central Tx would be about 1 head for every 8 acres. More cattle (or lower quality pasture) would require absence of brush, and/or improved grasses, and/or supplemental feeding in summer and winter. Going intensive like that will require better quality fences, though. Better to undergraze than overgraze.

Don't get just one. They're a herd animal. Make sure you get at least 4-5. If you just get 1 or 2, they'll sorely test your fences to try to link up with any larger groups nearby.

Why are monthly jobs numbers ALWAYS adjusted downward and never up? Ever. This is not a Trump issue. Biden did it too. Why can't our government bureaucrats just be honest and tell us the truth?

Zero accountability and most people just generally don't care.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

it is 100% a sampling issue, as the numbers don't reflect actual job tabulations but a sample of different industrial sectors' hiring over a given time.

It goes both ways. It's likely more recognized when it's adjusted down.

It's a projected number missing large data slices.

I know nothing about the cattle game.

It's been non-profitable for decades. You had to WANT to do it as your lifestyle. As a result, the national her dwindled.

Vividly remember selling days old bull calves for $50 dollars a head.

Oh well, good for todays cattlemen.

They have suffered from bad markets for a very long time.

People are already driving an hour + to work.
Eventually they will move 2 hours away to be able to afford. New construction is the biggest mover (likely due to builders offering incentives to buyers & govt programs that give preference to minority buyers).

Not a bad time to buy land north of Celina, The Woodlands or Leander. But then again, home prices are probably going to crash: there are 600K more sellers than buyers.
