We've had this "short" conflict with Iran for 6 months now...

The economy has never really recovered since the start on Day 1 of Trump's Trade War. He thinks raising tariffs is the solution to every problem. The man still has no clue how tariffs work and who pays them.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

No justification for murder, but it does raise interesting questions about the efficacy of our modern insurance structure and morality of placing care decisions in the hands of for profit corporations.

None of the major insurers are great, but United Healthcare has consistently been one of, if not, the worst for medical providers to deny treatment or require physicians to jump through unnecessary hoops to get their patients medically indicated or necessary care.

Socialized medicine isn't the answer, but insurance companies should not be able to delay or deny otherwise covered care because they *think a cheaper alternative is appropriate, or worse, they think a treatment is not needed.

It's not that far of a logical step (though still non sequitur) to say United Healthcare and its leadership has harmed and/or killed millions.

Blaming health care provides is only half the picture, at best. If we want to blame anyone for the mess that is American hess as others care, the bulk of the blame goes to the government. And if we want real reform that will save us money and give us more freedom and choices, we need to get the government out of the equation as much as possible. Until we have serious deregulation, loosening of restrictions, and transparency it will remain a mess and likely get worse.

You in your bean counter after the fact 20/20 way, if the guy did so much wrong charge him. Hell, if people were brought in front of Congress for saying distasteful things Trump and his minions would never get to leave. Why is this guy special? Why? He is a little guy that kept a diary that won't defend himself 90 days before mid-terms, the perfect victim.

It does not matter than none of the claims hold up. Read the science, the MRNA vaccine saved millions from more severe illness. The number of ill effects were extremely low and it served its purpose to keep the hospitals from getting overrun. Where is the negative? There still is disagreement on where it came, that is not criminal.

There was a time when many here could make an argument without resorting solely to whataboutism and full mischaracterization of the post they are responding to. Alas, we seem to be past those days.

The gnashing of teeth will be fun to watch when Fauci is never charged with anything, same when we are still at war with Iran in 6 months without any clear off-ramp, or when the deficit keeps growing at record pace.

DOGE was a decent idea on its face. It was implemented in the least serious way possible and did nothing of lasting note or benefit. The long term economic harm from outbreaks like screwworm, which would almost have certainly remained contained but for DOGE cuts, will likely match or exceed any of the real savings within 5 years.
