i think Dauda alone is huge if we could get her to actually come to waco. I think why the program is having to offer now is arguably better in terms of like she could have a chance to start, she is not coming into a brand new coach, we have the chance to make a deep run in the tournament, our system allows for her to shoot the three and get her in different places to score. We also have Bella who she is super close with and who doesn't love Bella!!

At some point, too much is too much after a certain point and someone doesn't always choose who pays more, especially when location and personalities come into play. Baylor will pay good NIL but not insane amount. If she chooses Tennessee we move on.
In light of the strong chemistry they have built it is wise not to go overboard on NIL. That could lead to a mersenary climate that we don't want. I see Baylor as a school that can develop the right kind of player, transfer or recruit, and eleveate their game to the next level, given time to do so.Bear3 said:

Hoping the coaching change at TN will help persuade her to choose us.
Vols posting at Vol Nation don't have any idea of Dauda's real interest or if she has visited but just want her to be a Vol. Maybe they will get her but Vol Nation does not seem to have any concrete info. She has visited here. KS may be a darkhorse too because she played AAU with S'Mya Nichols too. I still feel good about our chances. If she doesn't become a Bear, bet Nicki will find someone overseas to fill that spot.
I'm betting we are working on a NIL deal. I feel better with Vol Nation saying she hasn't visited to their knowledge. CNC keeps recruiting very private...Maryam's family liked Baylor coming out of HS (wasn't all about Kim)... Bella and Maryam are very good friends, played AAU ball together.
i really like our odds she also will have the freedom to shoot the 3, she could be great in our defensive scheme. But offensively she can be another big target in the pick and roll game, she has the ability to pop out as well. She has experience and it would elevate our team a lot!!
