[You probably know that European countries, including the UK, are dealing with mass illegal Third World migration, and that nobody (outside of Hungary) has the will to stop it. The brutal truth is that to do so would require the use of force beyond what contemporary Europeans are prepared to do. This short video from Sweden encapsulates the problem perfectly (you can watch the Twitter clip by clicking the link). In it, a migrant is trying to gain entrance to a Swedish family's apartment by using a ladder to come through a back window. They see him coming, and tell him to stop, but he ignores them. He enters the flat and starts slashing with his knife.
Normal people well, normal Americans, anyway watch that and wonder: "Why didn't you push him off the ladder?" I suppose the answer is that it might have hurt the invader, and they didn't want to do that. But the man was invading your house and it turned out that he had a knife! I will never, ever understand why people take that.
Then again, the insane liberal state of California is considering legislation, which just passed the state Senate easily, which would prevent store employees from confronting shoplifters. We Americans at least some of us have also lost the stomach for using the kind of violence necessary to restore law and order. I tell you, when I watch every day new videos showing thieves leaving stores heavy laden with stolen merchandise, with impunity, I wonder how much longer Americans are going to put up with this before they start shooting.
I retweeted that Swedish clip, and asked rhetorically why the homeowners didn't push the invader off the ladder, saving themselves. Someone there's always somebody like him asked, also rhetorically, if that was "the Christian thing to do." I can confidently say yes, defending your home and your family from invaders who mean you harm, even if that requires potentially deadly force, is justified, in my view. If you want to be a Christian pacifist, I can respect that, so long as you don't require every Christian to embrace your radicalism and so long as others to whom you have a moral duty to protect do not suffer from your convictions. If the Gestapo shows up at your door to take away your children, and you have a gun, I think you are morally permitted to shoot the Nazis. If a man tries to get into your house with a ladder, and refuses your repeated orders to stop, you are morally permitted to push him off the ladder, even if he might break his neck in the fall. Honestly...Blue State elites might not care as much about cheap labor....or they might realize than any short term boost from low wage 3rd world immigration is overshadowed by long term problems.
Vermont is pretty liberal but they don't seem that interested in getting 3rd world immigrants into the State.
