Not in California or anywhere else once the flip has taken place.

The only way blue becomes purple, or purple becomes red, is when the people with luxury beliefs start having to pay for the costs of those beliefs. Some will cross over. Some will not. And some will just not vote. That is how elections are won, how candidates sneak up and steal a state or two nobody expected, how candidates turn uncompetitive states into competitive states, stressing fundraising networks in ways that sap money away from swing states, etc.....

If Dems have to spend a tens of millions of dollars playing defense in CO, to save Senate or Congressional seats if not to save the Presidential campaign, that is non-budgeted monies that often have to be robbed from other states......
