The TCU game plan was utter stupidity. Worst play calling I 've seen in my life.
Oh well, Briles could have been all time great in college. Now, his football only legacy is a poor man's Steve Spurrier.
Briles never had outside pressure to win. A big pressure job would have had outsiders tell him to hire the next Bob Stoops. Instead, we just ate El Chico. El Chico rolled with points per possesion.

80s, there are 40 some bowls with 80 plus teams playing in them. Participation awards and coaching bowl bonuses. I get it.

I am a traditional football fan. Too many bowl games. 40 teams go to bowls. No worries FAU would get a bowl bid this year. I have them in my top 40.
No chance our one hundred something ranked defense could stop that offense.
We may be better next year but face it we were abysmal this year.

Having played in 3 bowls in 4 year I can tell you any bowl beats being at home with mom and pop watching all your conference foes play games
Robby, the current set up has too many bowls, imo. 3 out of 4 years was impressive back 35 years ago. Well you brought it up. Anyway it was more a comment on the drop in coaching talent to the new era we are in now. So I have moved on to the new reality but that doesn't mean you can't compare records and ability.
